When you posted that there was three hours until Wrestling Odyssey bell time!
The actual "previews" only last around an hour and a half, then we get into random rants and what not.Comment

Playing some catch up on this weekend's shows...
Evolve 28
This show was 3h30m and felt it. Tons of lame finishes that knocked down some otherwise good matches.
Drew Gulak-Biff Bustick
AR Fox-Caleb Konley
Ricochet-Anthony Nese
Johnny Gargano-Rich Swan
Chris Hero-Trent Baretta
All in that **3/4-***1/4 range. All "decent" to "alright"...just felt ever-long and the finishes for the most part fell flat. Hero-Baretta felt like it went 40m.
Live crowd got two pre-show matches and had to suffer through a 45m intermission...show was probably way over 4h for them. God damn.Comment

Check the VOW twitter timeline for the "Joe Lanza Wrestling Odyssey" in attempting to get into the DGUSA show.
I got Gabe to eventually come outside and let me in...but not before he took down my credit card information!Comment

And yes, that Twitter rant will be converted to a podcast rant next week.Comment

Hero/Tanaka was THE FUCKING BEST. All of the stars, just all of them. ****3/4 range.
Ricochet/Gargano was fantastic, they played off finishes from Evolve the night before and the Gargano/Shingo match from the year before, and they were on fire. ****1/2 range.
Low Ki had his working shoes on and Baretta was great too. **** range.
Watched most of the first half from outside while ranting on twitter. Can't rate. Teddy Hart with the CAT was epic. Crowd went apeshit.
And sorry Biss, but this has to be told. Biss tells Ricky Starks to go to the back to see if he can get Teddy Hart booked. Biss goes, "See if you can book Teddy. Tell him to fill the car with whoever he wants to bring down, AND ASK HIM IF ITS EXTRA FOR THE CAT."
Biss booked like 19 people during the show, with poor Ricky Starks acting as his runner. Watching this man work his magic in person is something else.Comment
