Do what I do, wait till you play it then judge it. I never really pay attention to gameplay videos cause they are often very misleading weather it be in a good way or in a bad way...but that could just be my opinion

presentation looked improved as well as the atmoshpere. And i mean improved, not great, but better.
The gameplay looked no different then ever before.

The counters still had no lead blocking and looked like a worthless run play. The toss play looked just like always. Meaning the RB looks like he has room at the outside only to have his 2 OL run away from the outside spacing back to the inside and the RB gets nailed for a 1 yard gain

the fumble feature looked pretty cool

OMG at about the 505 mark you have turner on a delay or draw play. Look at the left side of the line. 3 defeenders are up close, the 2 on the outside dont rush, but rather the having the LG block his man that did rush, the LG and LT criss cross so the LT picks up the DT who rushed in and totally missed him. Meanwhile the LG who crossed to take the 2 outside guys didnt do anything significant on the play......LAME!

and like someone mentioned, who knows what level this is being played on......it dont matter though, the hype train has begun

I've only watched about half of this, people sayin there's no blocking on counters, the blocking is there. The RB isn't patient.You have to wait for your blocks in real life, i don't know why it's expected this be diffrent.

You should judge the gameplay on the speed of it, smoothness of it (how fluid does it look), player interaction, and the physics behind tackles, blocks, etc.

The AI is dumbed down in the video and it is obvious by the angles the defenders take towards the ball carrier on several plays.

You can't judge blocking assignments, angles, speed, tackling, and ball awareness from this video because its on rookie. It's going to be completely different on All-Pro and All-Madden.

And if it's not on rookie and is actually All-Pro then I could be worried. But I'll still save judgment until I play the game on all-madden.

Not only that, but Kansas City is one of the worst teams in the game and probably has the worst run defense in the game. Atlanta's defense isn't much better, either.

Rookie was made for children to be able to pick up the controller and score touchdowns at will so don't get your panties in a twist just yet.

Seriously, how the fuck hard is to tell a goddamn linebacker "DO NOT MOVE AWAY FROM THE LINE UNLESS YOU SEE PASS?!?!!?" They even told me it was fixed once, I told 'em it wasn't, so they had to bug it again, and it's still not fixed.

I'll be totally honest, this is a true game killer for me. If it doesn't get fixed, I wont buy this game. It might seem minute, but think about it... linebackers not playing the run. That's like QBs not throwing the ball.

That was painful to watch. That and the goalline play with the strong side backer running around like a chicken with its head cut off AND the defensive end right next to him just standing straight up and playing patty-cake with the offense.

Why would the defensive AI be playing better on rookie? Everyone plays worse on rookie. Defense, offense, doesn't matter. Everyone is dumber and slower on rookie.

But I agree, rookie shouldn't automatically mean OLinemen try to block DTackles with their backs towards them. But missed blocks happen all the time in football, so I don't get why people complain about that unless it's happening way too much (which we don't know yet).

The game didn't look perfect, but again, rookie is dumb as shit. Go play madden 09 on rookie against the computer and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's just a joke compared to all madden. The players are literally retarded.

This should be a better video to judge blocking and offensive line play on. Ian has stated that the Titans have the best o-line in the game and the Ravens have one of the stoutest defenses.

I honestly might just tuck my 60$, go rent the game and not bother actually buying it.

when you can't fix minor offensive line issues, then I can't fathom what other issues are still in the game. how long am I going to have to wait until you get the offensive line to stop acting like retards, and the linebackers and defensive players to stop playing completely unrealistic football.

I'm still seeing offensive lineman make retarded decision concerning blocking in the open field, I'm still seeing them lets random guys go unblocked, I couldn't believe that you actually have an offensive guard pulling THE WRONG WAY.

for the sake of all things holy, take out the sweep play. this is THE MOST WORTHLESS PLAY in Madden history, it DOES NOT WORK, IT NEVER HAS WORKED, and judging by the fact that you guys haven't fixed the O-line issues I've been seeing since next gen Madden 06, I've honestly completely lost all hope that it ever will work.

Looked a little bit better than last year gameplay wise. I liked the way the refs interacted but the commentating still blows more than a Vegas hooker. Gameplay seems to be a little bit better but not as much as was talked about.

Looks infinitely better than NCAA. For the first time in 5 or 6 years (can't remember which), I'm actually looking forward to Madden. I'll get it from GameFly and if it is solid I'll purchase it.
