Another thing, Ariza is only 24, Ron Ron is 29. Only one over 30 is sheed. iirc, Malone was pushing 34 and Payton was also 30+. Shaq right now is far better than Malone was then as well imo. Numbers may be close but Shaq is far more of a presence down low than the Mailman ever was.

I can see the comparisons but then again, I kinda don't.

Different thing to bring in aged vets well past their primes who are just looking for a ring and what Cleveland is doing bringing in Shaq coming off the year he just had and guys like Sheed, Artest, and Ariza who are either still very solid to good players in the league and Ariza who could be entering his prime.

Sheed talks shit and might be an issue. Ariza flies under the radar. Artest played hard last season and isn't the problematic player he was a few years ago. The Cavs could use the mental toughness that Artest and Sheed bring though. They get under guys skin on the floor. The Cavs can use that.

Evidence to support this? Shaw knows it's Lebron's team so I don't forsee any issue there.

Artest could be a problem but I really don't see him being a problem at all as I think the Cavs will g harder after Ariza.

Sheed blended in fine to help those Pistons teams out and honestly hasn't had any blowups in years.

Artest will be signed by CLE anyday now, I think they will go after Ariza but I can see Ariza ending up somewhere else if they acquire Ron.

Most reports have the Cavs pursuing Ariza much harder than Artest.

He's not one of the best coaches in the NBA but the guy can coach. Frankly Cleveland just wasn't deep enough or atheltic enough to win the Finals this year and they got exposed.

Thing is , the Magic were the WORST matchup for the Cavs last season . I honestly think that apart from a Celtics team with KG (which they didnt have) the Magic were the WORST possible matchup for the Cavs. Any other team and i beleive they are in the finals .

And Mike Brown did show some defensive mistakes in the Orlando series but as for the offense just "giving it to LeBron" im not quite sure how thats a bad idea . You have a guy whos skillfull enough with the ball to play PG or SG probably yet has enough strength to outmuscle a PF/C in close . Yeah id much rather give Delonte West the ball too

First bit is questionable . Ariza seems like a quiet dude who is happy to do his own thing without commanding the ball too much , Shaq is determind to win a ship with LBJ to stick it to Kobe and the Lakers it seems and Artest was no trouble in Houston once he got on a real contending team.

Your assertions are off and have been shown to be off based on the difference in the type and caliber of players each team is looking to bring in and byt he fact that Cleveland hasn't even made any signings yet. What character problem did Artest, Sheed and Ariza show last year? Yeah Artest can be a headcase but behaved all last season in Houston. Also, Sheed picks up Technicals but is a hell of a role player and would be a great fit for the Cavs. Ariza is an atheltic wing that can help the Cavs match up with a team like the Magic. So I would say they are looking at guys that would help fill their holes nicely(sounds hot) and the guys with character concerns is more based on past rep than recent history.

However If you add Sheed to that mix of Lebron Mo and Shaq it wont be a good fit, if you want to do anything you want to throw a PF that will do nothing but dirty work in that mix no need for another scoring big in there you see Shaq and Amare didnt work well.

As for Artest being thrown in there I dont think he a good fit offensively for them, I could see it working on the defensive end but not the offensive end. I think Shane Battier would be a much better fit in CLE than artest. But he not available for them. Cleveland is trying to land a bunch of names, instead of role-players. They dont need another all-star on that team they need role-players that can do their job.

I think Ariza could fill that void of a need Cleveland needs to matchup with ORL seeing as they dont have Turk any more ORL wont have that major size advantage. Ariza would allow Lebron to guard the likes of Shard while he(Ariza) would defend Vince. Making the matchups better for Cleveland.

But once again I dont think Artest, Sheed, Shaq, and Lebron could all mesh together to win an NBA title

Somebody who can knock down 3s and play good defense on the wing is EXACTLY what the Cavs need imo

Battier is a younger, non-headcase version of Artest. They are very simlar players. So what's the point?
