Notre Dame junior TE Kyle Rudolph, who is projected to be the first player at the position off the board despite missing most of the season after undergoing hamstring surgery, reportedly will skip his senior season and enter the 2011 draft. Rudolph, who missed the last 7 games of the 2010 season with the hamstring injury, also suffered a severely separated shoulder the previous year that required offseason surgery. If healthy, Rudolph figured to be a legitimate first-round talent but likely will slip to the second round because of the health concerns.
