thats why i dont understand bad teams making late season runs. unless the coach is trying to save his job, which wasnt the case here, it doesnt really make sense. now they miss out on a stud like Peterson.

Because Peterson is one guy out of 53 who isn't even a sure thing. I'd much rather finish the way we did because it should inspire confidence to everyone whose coming back next year. Especially for this team that lost a lot of close games earlier in the year. It shows they figured out how to finish a game and get the win.
 
Notre Dame TE Kyle Rudolph will declare for the draft.

He's probably a 2nd round pick, but could get into the first round if he can combat health concerns.

His draft stock is similar to Rob Gronkowski's. Elite talent but will drop due to injuries and then someone will have themselves a steal.

Notre Dame junior TE Kyle Rudolph, who is projected to be the first player at the position off the board despite missing most of the season after undergoing hamstring surgery, reportedly will skip his senior season and enter the 2011 draft. Rudolph, who missed the last 7 games of the 2010 season with the hamstring injury, also suffered a severely separated shoulder the previous year that required offseason surgery. If healthy, Rudolph figured to be a legitimate first-round talent but likely will slip to the second round because of the health concerns.
