I like to think this is the last stand for Willie Harris, with Cairo set to come back later this week.

So what we need here, is Harris to go 0-5 with 2 errors, and a 7-2 Reds win.

You know, keep in mind that in the midst of a terrible offensive slump, the Reds have played the Cardinals six times, the 10-4 first place Nats four times, and a pretty solid Marlins team three times. Seven of those games on the road. That's a tough schedule, so 5-8 considering the AWFUL hitting isn't the worst case scenario, here.

The offense is going to hit at some point during this stretch, and this isnt exactly Cards/Marlins/Nats. Reds can play .600 ball during this stretch.

This will be Jocketty's call, with what I assume is heavy input from the toothpick, but I would love to see them SHOW SOME GUTS and DFA Harris.

My odds: 65/35 they keep Harris and send DOWN GOES FRAZIER.

Miguel Cairo has been removed from the Dayton Dragons roster.

This means one of three things:

-He's coming off the DL
-He's continuing his rehab assignment elsewhere
-He's being DFA (there is talk that this is a possibility. I will fucking flip if Cairo is off the team but Harris stays.)

From what is being said by those who would know over at RR, Dusty has very little input on these types of roster moves. It's up to Jocketty. I guess we'll find out tmw morning.

I haven't seen this much joy from Reds nation in a long, long time. Even the Votto extension saw like 1% of the SABR dorks complain about years 10-12. This Willie Harris news is universal.

If he gets bombed again, twitter and message boards should be fun when Jeff Francis gets the call up or Alfredo Simon heads to the rotation, while Chapman stays in the pen (where he belongs for the moment).
