The falcons already surprised the world again. They surprised us by showing that they are still the biggest choke artists in the league and are lucky that they made it out of the last game alive.

I wouldn't call that last drive "luck" would you?

They Won and a Win is Win......so; its not like they really choked.
if anybody choked, it was the Seahawks. they took lead with :31sec left on clock.
And
not Falcons fault Carroll called TO to "Ice Kicker", which benefited the Kicker, Bryant.

They were up 27-7 with a quarter left and it took two incredible throws and a Pete Carroll timeout to give them the win. That's about as close to choking as you can get. #1 seeds at home shouldn't be giving up 21 points in the 4th.

The defence was borked. Ryan made the throws, but they just sat back and gave it to them. Blitzers were late, DB's were way too far off. Classic case of taking your foot off the gas and on top of that, nobody assigned to make a play, made one. Prevent D (ask the Broncos) just isn't what it used to be.


Atlanta is going to play a good game here. They will be feeling great finally getting that W, having home support, knowing Ryan can comeback with little time even in the playoffs now. Can Kaep replicate the passing assault Wilson did this weekend if needed? He's yet to throw 300 yards, surpassing 250 just once. He's not broken 57.1% pass completion since November. He's 2-2 on the road, undefeated at home.

If Atlanta replicates their 1st half vs Seattle, can he pull it off? I'm not so sure.

Green Bay got a great warm-up for a mobile QB when they faced Joe Webb...and it didn't help them AT ALL, so I'm not worried about the Falcons having Kaep all figured out just from matching up against Wilson. My concerns lie with the running game, as our defense typically struggles against bruising backs like Turner (see Marshawn Lynch), and I am worried about how Ryan was able to pass against Seattle's frightening secondary.

Gonna be a good game, but I think we're a more talented team over all. Niners by less than seven.

Also I'm sure the first priority was to slow down Lynch. The DBs played well vs Seattles WRs but they can't chase them around all day long. I think they'll adjust vs 49ers and send more safety and corner blitzes, I don't think they did it at all vs Seattle. Can't let Kaep sit back there all day.

As a falcon fan I felt we were lucky to even be up 20-0 at the half.

The score could have easily been alot closer in the 1st half.

1st QTR - Seattle runs the ball to the ATL 39 - Lynch Fumbled - no points
2nd QTR - Redzone -3rd + 4th and 1 from ATL 11 - bad play calls - turnover on downs - no points
2nd QTR - Redzone -1st and Goal from the ATL 6 :21 left - Drive ends - end of half

VS. San Francisco I don't think the Falcons will have some of these drives and plays go their way.
Falcons pass rush was just awful. No Abraham really hurt. But Wilson never took the read option runs, and Kaep will. The middle of the field was WIDE OPEN ALL game. We need to fix that ASAP. If Miller was workin us, Vernon Davis gonna have a field day.
