So michael edits his contract to $0 releases him then posts a buy-out article. Smart move
Are you dumb?
He was making less than 1 mill and it was an expiring contract.
Editing the contract to 0 and then releasing him doesn't do me any good or make a difference.
I pay him for the remainder of his contract (which expires at the end of the year anyway.)
"It's given us a bit of room, not cap room but just breathing room and flexibility to move ahead for our future,"
:banghead:
I figured putting together the article like it was a buyout might be more interesting than just saying I waived him.
derrrrrrrrrr
Genius...
You're better than that. rofl. Lupe tries to get bandwagons going against me.
First the "rigging" of the sim league, now this. :smh:
That's what I'd do if I had a Knicks chise with Curry Jefferies and co.
wouldnt that be cheating tho ?
if you buyout someone you save a little bit of $$ not the whole thing...im not so great with nba contracts tbh
That would be cheating. Realistically, any player with a long term deal will not accept a buyout. The premise being why would they take less money when they have guaranteed money for years to come.
Releasing a player = still being forced to pay that player their salary
Buying out a player's contract = coming to an agreement with the player (or his agent) to pay them a smaller amount of money than they were guaranteed so that the organization/team/franchise saves money
Again, I'm not losing money because it's a video game so it wouldn't make a difference if I edited the amount of money he made because his contract is set to expire at the end of the year anyway.
