The terms of the provisional license were that he be tested randomly "x" amount of times before they would allow him to reapply for a full license. So I don't know if that loophole you bring up will stick.

I don't care about PED's because I realize just about everybody is on them and I don't trust any of these fighter (or any athletes, for that matter). But Overeem has become a parody at this point. I'll watch like everybody else, but it will be a joke if he's somehow allowed to fight in Nevada.

To my friends and fans,

I am deeply saddened to announce that on Friday, April 20, I respectfully withdrew from the May 26 event so that I can request a continuance until my situation with the Nevada State Athletic Commission is resolved.

I cannot express how sorry I am to the Commission, Junior Dos Santos, the fans, the owners and employees of the UFC, my friends and family and anyone else who this has affected.

I absolutely do not believe in, nor do I use performance-enhancing drugs. I am a clean fighter and I will do whatever it takes to prove this to everyone.

Prior to the UFC 146 press conference in March, I aggravated an old rib injury on my left side. My doctor prescribed, and I accepted, an anti-inflammatory medication that was mixed with testosterone. I was completely unaware that testosterone was one of the ingredients in the medication. Although I was unaware, I do realize it is my job to know what I am putting into my body.

I respect the Nevada Commissioners and Executive Director Keith Kizer and what they are doing to keep
the sport of mixed martial arts regulated and safe for athletes. I look forward to working with them in the days and weeks ahead.

These guys have jock sniffing doctors who will prescribe them anything.

Overeem has probably been on TRT or has been using artificial testosterone for many years. Like most fighters, he probably has very smart doctors/chemists under his employ who advise him when to cycle off for the purpose of passing tests. The random test was his undoing. His testo level was indicative of somebody who had taken testosterone treatment within a week, and the level was so high, that there was no way it was a mistake (just like Ryan Braun).

He is scrambling for a loophole, trying to find a way to say he is on prescribed TRT treatment, but he has never claimed this before, and has never disclosed that to the commission in the past. In short, he's completely full of shit. He was hoping that due to the technicality that he was not licensed, he could not technically be suspended, just refused the license. That's what will likely happen, but they can just refuse his license for however long they want, which is essentially the same as a suspension, and most of the key states will recognize the Nevada decision and not grant a license either. He could fight on Indian resorvations or in Texas or other backwards states with weak commissions, but not for UFC. UFC doesnt play that game and respects the major commissions.
