Welterweight Match: Kyle Bradley (me) V Josh Burkman
This fight was essentially a boxing match. Both fighters landed their share of kicks and punches throughout the fight. Bradley was the first to strike with a blow that stunned his opponent. As Burkman stood dazed and confused, Bradley took advantage to finish the fight by knocking Burkman to the ground, standing over him and landing several punches to the face to earn the TKO.
Result: Kyle Bradley wins by TKO 1:09 into the 2nd round


Heavyweight Match: Mirko Cro Cop V Eddie Sanchez (me)
Sanchez turned in an upset victory over Mirko Cro Cop just 3:21 into the 1st round! Both fighters came out and made the entire fight a kickboxing match. Both fighters kept their distance by just striking and moving. Sanchez was fortunate to land some serious blows to the head of Mirko Cro Cop which laid him out. Sanchez finished with a few punches to the face before the fight was called by referee Mario Yamasaki. This loss will really hurt Cro Cop's chances of working his way into the ranks of the elite in the heavyweight division.
Result: Eddie Sanchez wins by TKo 3:21 into the 1st round


Middleweight Match: Ricardo Almeida V Evan Tanner (me)
Almeida controlled the match from the beginning. Almeida gained control through a number of successful takedowns that neutralized Tanner and limited his ability to get into any kind of rhythm for the fight. Tanner basically managed to "stay alive" till Almeida finally locked in the arm-bar and Tanner tapped out.
Result: Ricardo Almeida wins by Submission in the 2nd round


Headline Event/Lightweight Match: Joe Stevenson V Hermes Franca (me)
This fight was very similar to the Almeida/Tanner fight from earlier in the evening. Stevenson dominated the ground game and Franca was unable to transition with consistency. When Stevenson was finally able to pass Franca's guard - Franca was met with a hammer-fist to score the knockout win.
Result: Joe Stevenson wins by KO 1:46 into the 2nd round


Main Event/Light Heavyweight Championship Match: Lyoto Machida (title holder) V Thiago Silva (me)
UPSET OF THE NIGHT! Not many expected Thiago Silva to defeat Light Heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida. Fortunately, for Silva, the unexpected happens every now and then. Silva scored a 1st round TKO of Machida and Silva did it by beating Machida at his own game. Silva simply kept moving and striking. Often keeping his distance and out of Machida's range. Silva eventually landed a kick square on Machida's chin which knocked the champion down. Silva wasted no time standing over Machida and punished him with shots to the face before the fight was stopped. One good shot was all it took to shock the world.
Result: Thiago Silva wins Light Heavyweight championship by TKO 0:54 into the 1st round

The UFC will invade the American Airlines Arena in Dallas for the first show of the calendar year! Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell returns to the octagon after a nearly 9-month layoff. Liddell returns looking to rebound after losing his last two matches versus Shogun Rua at UFC 97 and Rashad Evans at UFC 88. Liddell is just one-half of the evenings main event. Forrest Griffin returns from a knee injury which kept him from competing in UFC 103 versus Lyoto Machida. Griffin will look to re-establish himself as one of the top contenders in the light heavyweight division while Liddell will look to get off the schnide.

The evenings headline event will feature young Cain Velasquez looking to assert himself as a contender in the heavyweight division. Velasquez is currently undefeated and is coming off a impressive victory over Cheick Kongo. Velasquez will be facing UFC veteran Minotauro Nogueira. The evening will also feature the UFC debut of newcomers Kimbo Slice facing off against Mark Coleman and Urijah Faber against Mark Bocek.

There are some others - I am trying to make the roster large enough to really avoid a cycle of fights. I might even add obscure guys, VSN guys, etc.

Not much of a fight. It lasted all of 3 minutes and it was all on the ground. McDonaled scored a takedown early and eventually secured a triangle choke on McFedries for the submission victory.

Heavyweight Match: Kimbo Slice (me) V Mark Coleman
Kimbo Slice looked good in his UFC debut. Slice landed a punch early that opened up a cut above Coleman's left eye. Slice kept working his boxing game and eventually closed up Coleman's eye. Early in the 2nd round, Slice kept working Coleman's eye before scoring a knockout for the win.
Result: Kimbo Slice wins by KO 2:00 into the 2nd round


Lightweight Match: Urijah Faber (me) V Mark Bocek
Another quick match. Faber came out and looked very impressive fighting at 155-pounds. Bocek was able to notch two takedowns against Faber, but, it wasn't enough. Faber landed some blows to the head that put Bocek down for good.
Result: Urijah Faber wins by KO 3:19 into the 1st round


Headline Event/Heavyweight Match: Cain Velasquez (me) V Minotauro Nogueira
Velasquez continues his rise in the heavyweight ranks thanks to a big win over UFC veteran Minotauro Nogueira. Velasquez focused on keeping his distance from Nogueira by taking a more reserved approach in striking. Nogueira looked to take control on two separate occasions when he was able to score takedowns against Velasquez, but, Velasquez was able to transition out of trouble. Eventually Velasquez was able to stun Nogueira which made him vulnerable to a barrage of Velasquez punches. Referee Mario Yamasaki stopped the fight after Nogueira could no longer defend himself.
Result: Cain Velasquez wins by TKO 1:21 into the 2nd round


Main Event/Light Heavyweight Match: Forrest Griffin (me) V Chuck Liddell
This was an absolutely brutal fight. Both fighters went at it and landed absolute bombs. Liddell displayed his veteran savvy with a consistent counter-attack. Liddell seemed content to allow the fight, and Griffin, to come to him. Both fighters physically punished each other, but, Forrest Griffin was able to score the knockout with a kick to the head.
Result: Forrest Griffin wins by KO 2:11 into the 2nd round

Alistair Overeem & Antonio Silva Join UFC Roster

Alistair Overeem is excited to be joining the UFC heavyweight division


Las Vegas, NV --- UFC President Dana White announced today the signing of two fighters to the heavyweight division: Alistair Overeem and Antonio Silva.

"We are excited to add both of these fighters to our current group of heavyweights. We feel like both of these men add to an already dynamic roster of figthers." Dana White said via press-release.

Silva and Overeem are said to be in top-physical condition allowing them to fight almost immediately. Additional news and notes includes the re-signing of multi-fight contracts for current UFC fighters Randy Couture, Matt Hamill, Jon Jones and Shane Carwin.

The UFC 107 card is expected to be released in the near future. Currently, the only match set for the card is between heavyweights Brock Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko.

Welterweight Match: Amir Sadollah V Matt Arroyo (me)
This match went the distance! Both fighters played the fight conservatively, waiting for the other to engage. It was a stand-up fight through nearly the entire fight. Matt Arroyo was able to score one takedown of Sadollah, but, that was it. Each fighter chose to work the body with a variety of punches and kicks. Arroyo was awarded the victory in a unanimous decision by the judges.
Result: Matt Arroyo wins by Unanimous Decision after 3 rounds


Heavyweight Match: Fabricio Werdum V Heath Herring (me)
Excellent fight! This was a fight of contrasting styles. Werdum attempted to work the muay thai clinch throughout the fight. Herring was able to successfully counter with slams. Herring wore down Werdum by landing kicks to the upper body and the head before finally knocking out Werdum just before the end of the 2nd round.
Result: Heath Herring wins by KO 4:44 into the 2nd round


Lightweight Match: Gray Maynard (me) V Tyson Griffin
This was an even fight for the duration of the bout. Both fighters scored knockdowns against the other and both had several takedowns of the other. It looked as if the fight would come down to a judges decision, however, with less than a minute left in the 3rd round, Tyson Griffin was able to land a kill-shot that put Maynard on his back and unconscious to earn the victory.
Result: Tyson Griffin wins by KO 4:03 into the 3rd round


Headline Event/Light Heavyweight Match: Shogun Rua (me) V Jon Jones
Another fight that went the distance. Early on, Rua was dominated by Jones due to an inability to defense Jones' takedowns. Jones was unable to inflict much damage to Rua early on because Rua was able to quickly transition out of each takedown. Regardless, Jones dominated the 1st round. Rua came out for the 2nd round with a varied strategy of quick strikes with multiple takedown attempts. Rua was much more successful in the 2nd round and nealy pulled off a triangle choke for the victory, but Jones was able to escape. Each fighter split the 3rd round, however, due to the amount of takedowns scored by Jones in the 1st, he was granted a unanimous decision victory.
Result: Jon Jones wins by Unanimous Decision after 3 rounds


Main Event/Heavyweight Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (me) V Fedor Emelianenko
The fight itself did not live up to the hype. Brock Lesnar was simply over-matched by Fedor. Lesnar was only able to land a few jabs, hooks and defensed a few takedowns. Fedor, undeterred, finally got Lesnar on the ground and immediately locked in a arm-bar that forced Lesnar to tap-out only a few minutes into the 1st round.

In other action, Antonio Silva faces off against Shane Carwin. Between them, the fighters have a combined 23-1 record. Carwin looks to keep his perfect record intact, while Silva looks to add another win to his, already impressive, record. Other bouts include young welterweigh up-and-comer Ben Saunders against UFC veteran Josh Koscheck.

St. Pierre V Alves 2 - Set for UFC 110

George St. Pierre will look to reclaim his Welterweight title at UFC 110

Las Vegas, NV --- UFC 110 will take place at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan and the evenings main event will feature current Welterweight champion Thiago Alves defending his title against Georges St. Pierre in a rematch from Alves' upset win at UFC 100.

"I'm very excited that Dana has given me the opportunity to fight for the world championship and to redeem myself," St. Pierre said from his gym in Montreal.

No other matches have been set for the card yet, but, it is expected that St. Pierre V Alves 2 - as it is being billed, will be the main event.

Current champ Thiago Alves could not be reached for comment about the upcoming match, however, one of Alves' trainers did release a statement that read:

"Thiago is happy to fight whoever Dana [White] puts in front of him. Thiago was given an opportunity at UFC 100 and he is willing to return the favor of a rematch. Thiago is very happy for Georges and looks forward to competing against him again."

No date has been set for the event, however, it is expected that it will take place in late May.

Not much to say here. Hamill wins by knee-bar 1 minute into the match.
Result: Matt Hamill wins by Submission in the 1st round


Lightweight Match: Spencer Fisher (me) V Nate Diaz
Another relatively quick match. However, this match was much more entertaining. Both Fisher and Diaz impressed the crowd with their groundwork and transitions. It was really a site to see. Lots of submission attemtps as well. Just before the end of the 1st round though, Nate Diaz was able to lock in a triangle choke on Fisher which led to Fisher tapping out.
Result: Nate Diaz wins by Submission in the 1st round


Welterweight Match: Josh Koscheck (me) V Ben Saunders
Excellent groundwork by both fighters. Koscheck scored multiple takedowns as well. Koscheck was able to stun Saunders at the end of the 1st round, but, the round ended before Koscheck could inflict any more damage. Koscheck kept working the tender upper body of Saunders before a kick to Saunders' head put him out for the night.
Result: Josh Koscheck wins by KO 3:00 minutes into the 2nd round


Headline Event/Heavyweight Match: Antonio Silva (me) V Shane Carwin
Antonio Silva really impressed the UFC fans throughout this fight. Silva was able to stun Shane Carwin multiple times early in the fight. However, Carwin was able to recover and avoid a KO or TKO. Silva continued to take the offensive and utilized takedowns as a means to soften up Carwin. Silva also attempted a number of submissions with no success. Finally, a kick to the head knocked out Carwin and sealed the victory for Silva.
Result: Antonio Silva wins by KO 3:30 into the 2nd round


Main Event/Middleweight Championship Match: Anderson Silva (title holder/me) V Dan Henderson
FIGHT OF THE NIGHT! This match really lived up to it's billing as the main event. Both Anderson Silva and Dan Henderson went at each other! Both fighters recorded multiple takedowns of the other and the ground game for each fighter was amazing! The transitions and submission escapes were really something special. I am of the opinion that Henderson won the 1st round. While Silva dominated the 2nd round. However, even with the offensive nature of the fight, both competitors seemed to have a lot of strenth and stamina left. It looked as if the fight may go the distance. However, late in the 3rd round, after a barrage of kicks and punches for each fighter, Silva landed a clean kick to the head against Henderson who fell to the mat for the immediate knockout.
Result: Anderson Silva wins by KO 4:12 into the 3rd round

Welterweight Match: Anthony Johnson (me) V Mike Swick
Anthony Johnson dominated the entire fight. Mike Swick had no real defense against Johnson's striking ability. Swick got rocked in the 1st round and was saved by the bell. Johnson came out in the 2nd round and finished the match by knocking Swick to the ground before pummeling him with a barrage of fists to the face.
Result: Anthony Johnson wins by TKO 0:54 into the 2nd round


Light Heavyweight Match: Stephan Bonnar V Wilson Gouveia (me)
Stephan Bonnar recorded 2 knockdowns of Wilson Gouveia in the first round. However, Gouveia quickly recovered from these and returned to his feet almost immediately. Bonnar definitely went on the offensive and was winning the fight. The fight never really got on the ground. A lot of stand-up boxing and kick-boxing was being done. Finally, early in the 2nd round, Wilson Gouveia landed a shot that put Bonnar on his back. Gouveia quickly stood over Bonnar and finished him off for a TKO victory.
Result: Wilson Gouveia wins by TKO 1:19 into the 2nd round


Welterweight Match: Marcus Davis V Chris Lytle (me)
This was a stand-up fight throughout. Neither fighter really looked to take this to the mat. Both fighters were being defensive for the duration of the bout. Lytle would loook to strike when Davis closed in and vice versa. Lytle, had the advantage on the scorcard heading into the 3rd round forcing Davis to go on the offensive - looking for a quick knockout. Davis wouldn't find it. Lytle was able to connect with a right hook that knocked out Davis and secured the victory for himself.
Result: Chris Lytle wins by KO 2:23 into the 3rd round


Headline Event/Middleweight Match: Thales Leites V Michael Bisping (me)
Bisping took early control by taking down Leites and having ground control. Leites was in half-guard as Bisping was throwing shots into the body and head. Bisping defensed all of Leites transition attempts. After about a minute on the ground, Leites successfully locked in a Kimura and ended the fight. Bisping tapped out almost immediately.
Result: Thales Leites wins by Submission in the 1st round


Main Event/Lightweight Championship Match: Champion BJ Penn V Sean Sherk (me)
Sean Sherk absolutely dominated the 1st round with multiple takedowns of Penn and keeping the fight in control while on the mat. Penn was not able to successfully transition or even attempt a submission. Penn only found relief when the fight was stood-up by referee Steve Mazzagatti. Sherk also outboxed Penn in the 1st. Sherk looked to start the 2nd round with another takedown, but, Penn was able to defense both of Sherk's attempts. This only bought Penn a little time though, as Sherk immediately went back to a stand-up fight and matching boxing skills with Penn. Sherk finally dazed Penn and knocked him on his back before finishing him off with punches to the face before Mazzagatti stepped in and declared Sherk the winner by TKO.
Result: Sean Sherks wins by TKO 0:52 into the 2nd round

Thales Leites: "I want a shot at Anderson Silva."

At 16-2, Thales Leites feels he's earned a shot at the middleweight title

At 14-2, Thales Leites felt he was ready for a shot at the middleweight title. It didn't come. Instead, Leites, 28, took on Yushin Okami at UFC 103 and scored a decisive victory. Leites thought he was next in line for a title shot after the victory. Instead, it went to Dan Henderson who beat rival Michael Bisping at UFC 100.

Not to be deterred, Leites bided his time till his next match. It was against Michael Bisping. Fans of MMA and the UFC thought that this would be Leites' final exam - if he could beat Bisping, he deserved to be mentioned as a possible contender with Anderson Silva.

"I always thought I was a contender. I was shocked that Demian Maia got a shot. I knew from the start that Anderson [Silva] would chew him up and spit him out...and he did." Leites said.

Leites quickly disposed of Bisping at UFC 109 with a first round submission via Kimura. Bisping has even come out in support of Leites for a title shot.

"He's a good lad. He did a number on me and showed me just how dangerous he can be on his back." Bisping said referring to his submission defeat at UFC 109.

For now, there is no clear-cut #1 contender, but, many around the UFC believe that Leites will be getting his shot at Anderson Silva - possibly at the end of this year.

The UFC issued a brief press release today announcing future bouts for later in 2010. The bouts include the return of Andrei Arlovski to the UFC with a match against Fedor Emelianenko at UFC 112 in July. Also on the July card is a match between former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Rampage Jackson.

UFC 111 will look to feature the return of Tim Sylvia to the UFC as he will face-off against Frank Mir. Mir has not fought since his loss at UFC 100 to Brock Lesnar.

Finally, at UFC 113 in August, Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin will meet in what is expected to be the evenings headline event or main event.

Light Heavyweight Match: Kazuhiro Nakamura V James Irvin (me)
James Irvin dominated the entire fight. Nakamura recorded only 1 takedown the entire fight. Irvin was content to stay on his feet. Irvin just continued to pummel Nakamura's head and body before finally landing the knockout kick to the head.
Result: James Irvin wins by KO 0:25 into the 2nd round


Heavyweight Match: Alistair Overeem V Eddie Sanchez (me)
Eddie Sanchez was looking to record another upset victory after his win versus Cro Cop at UFC 105. Sanchez was successful in his attempt. Sanchez dominated the entire fight and had Overeem stunned early, however, Overeem was able to recover. Sanchez just continued his devastating offensive and Overeem appeared to have no answer. Sanchez finally landed the knockout blow just two minutes into the 1st round.
Result: Eddie Sanchez wins by KO 2:23 into the 1st round


Middleweight Match: Demian Maia V Nate Marquardt (me)
This match went to the mat very quickly. Demian Maia wanted the match on the mat and once he got it there, he kept it there. Marquardt did a great job with transitions and holding his own on the mat. However, late in the 2nd round, Maia was able to lock-in a triangle choke for the tap-out.
Result: Demian Maia wins by Submission in the 2nd round


Headline Event/Lightweight Match: Thiago Tavares (me) V Frank Edgar
Both Thiago Tavares and Frank Edgar worked the ground game with lots of transitions and reversals. Tavares looked to finish the fight early by stunning Edgar, who fell to the ground, but, time ran out for the round and Edgar was able to gather himself. The 2nd round was much of the same. A lot of ground work and some ground-and-pound. No one seemed to be taking control of the fight. As the 3rd round continued, Tavares began to pull away. Standing the fight up, Tavares was able to land some combos that sealed Edgar's fate. Tavares finished the fight with a knockout blow to the head.
Result: Thiago Tavares wins by KO 3:03 into the 3rd round


Main Event/Welterweight Championship Match: Champion Thiago Alves V Georges St. Pierre (me)
This was the return of GSP! St. Pierre dominated the entire fight. Alves was not able to match St. Pierre in striking or on the ground. St. Pierre recorded countless takedowns and utilized effective ground-and-pound and kickboxing to neutralize Alves. Alves really had no answer for St. Pierre's takedowns or his strikes. St. Pierre finally delivered the fatal blow via a kick to the head at the beginning of the 2nd round. St. Pierre simply stood over Alves and delievered punch after punch to Alves' face before referee Mario Yamasaki stopped the fight.
Result: Georges St. Pierre wins by TKO 0:31 into the 2nd round

Couple of notes:

- I am moving up a difficulty level...again...hopefully, I can handle expert better than before.

- I have finally figured out how to get my capture card to work. So, I am thinking of making a highlight video of each PPV card so you can actually see what happened. Or I may just record the main event so you can watch one of the matches.

Let me know what you guys think of the video idea. I think it might be cool to watch the main event for each PPV yourself and just report on the rest. Or, I could TRY and make a highlight video for the entire PPV. I still have to get used to using the editing software and all that stuff, so...the first few vids may be rough.

EDIT: Below is a test video I made. It is not the actual main event from my PPV card. It is just a practice match that I did to test out if I got the software working with the PS3. As you can see, my editing is all sorts of fucked up as the first few scenes are mid-fight, then it cuts to the very beginning. It's really just a test and it is for practice. Obviously, I also cut a lot out. Normally, the match will be in it's entirety. Also, I apologize for the quality. I can't get the capture card to capture HD. Also, check out the sweet-ass move I make to evade a Thiago Alves kick!
