BRACK FRIDAY BUNDURU!!!!!
Honorable Mention (in no particular order):
Devin Gardner, Michigan Wolverines
Cole Gautsche, New Mexico Lobos
Taylor Kelly, ASU Sun Devils
Connor Shaw, South Carolina Gamecocks
Zach Mettenberger, Fighting Tard Farmers of Knubshte
Tyler Russell, MS State Bulldogs
Bryce Petty, Baylor Bears
Rakeem Cato, Marshall Thundering Herd
Kolton Browning, Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks
Bryn Renner, UNC Tarheels
JW Walsh, Oklahoma State Cowboys
Stephen Morris, Miami Hurricanes
Fringe Top 10 guys:
Logan Thomas, VT Chokies
HE IS SO BIG AND STRONG AND BIG AND HE CAN'T REALLY THROW WELL BUT HE IS BIG. NFL scouts love him for his size, but size a QB does not solely make. Basically, he is Cam Newton without the off field issues. Or the ability to win games. Or the semi-accurate arm. Or the speed.
Chuckie Keeton, Utah State Aggies
Led the team to 11-2 record and passed for 3,373 yds and 27 TDs with only 9 INTs and a 67% completion rate. This will be his third year as the starter, and he will only get better and expand on last years totals. Pretty good little scrambler, does not have the wheels like some of the dual threat guys, but competent enough to know when to scramble and get out of trouble.
Terrance Broadway, ULL Ragin' Cajuns
I am just enamored with this kid: first year as a starter and he passed for 2,842 yards and 19 TDs along with 700 yds and 9 TDs on the ground, a true dual threat. I'd like to see him utilized better, as the ULL OC seems to force the issue with him at times, taking him out of his comfort zone. I think, barring injury, he is in for a big year and ULL might end up having a sneaky good year.
Cody Fajardo, Nevada Wolfpack
I came very close to including him in my Top 10, but I just couldn't bring myself to replace any of them for him. He is one of the few truly dangerous dual threat QBs, he just needs to cut down on his INTs. His team lost three games by a combined three points (and one more by 6), so he is a competent leader, he just needs to cut down on those untimely turnovers. If he does, Nevada is poised for a big year, and he might be a darkhorse for the many postseason awards.
Taylor Martinez, Nebraska Cornhuskers
TEXMEX!!!!!!! I just like this kid, he threw for 2,871 yds and 23 TDs at a 62% clip, as well as rushing for over 1,000 yards and 10 TDs. He has made strides as a passer, and even though his OC's have been inept, he continues to progress. I'd like to see him and Nebraska finally get over the hump in the B1G, b/c this will be their last year to have that opportunity for at least a few more years.
Up Next: #10, to be released at some point tonight :dd:
