i am not gonna debate my opinion with you. it doesnt really matter if u understand my opinon.... you like the game for its simplicity. I prefer a little more depth and creativity......

I dont know how much more creative you can get with this game. All the twists and flashbacks keep me glued.

The combat is simple, but fun. You want Ninja Gaiden with Batman.

X(Square)=Strike
Y(Triangle)=Counter
B(O)=Stun
Double Tap A(X)=Lunge

And then theres the throws that you unlock. The combat is hardly simple. Especially on hard difficulty I'm sure.

While simple in theory, the freeflow fighting is tough to master (for me, at least).

You CAN simply hit different combinations of Strike and Counter (X and Square for us PS3ers), but there are upwards of 9 different moves you can make in chaining together combos: Strike, Evade, Stun, Counter, Throw, Instant Takedown, Ground Pound, Batarang and Batclaw.

It may not seems like much, but you can pull off some wicked combinations.

Holy crap, I didn't even think of using the Batclaw in a combo...

Does anyone know if you can use the Ultra Batclaw in freeflow to yank around 3 guys?

i would rent it. Its a very good game and alot of fun, but unless you plan on playing thru a bunch of times for the tropheys and solving the riddles, then its not worth buying.

game is great in alot of areas, graphics, story, voices, framerate, fun factor. Unfortunately its just not a very long game....but i can see this game milking a ton of DLC

Definitely can see that. The challenge mode seems created solely for DLC. Plus, has anyone else noticed that it says "Look for free downloadable content soon!" on the title page? At least, it says that on the 360 version.

I'd like to see the Joker maps eventually. Played the PS3 version for that, and the Joker plays completely differently. It's interesting and fun, but not worth necessarily buying the PS3 version.

what we really need here is a guide. The riddler puzzles are puzzling me.

for example, Zats (i forget his name) is counting on you to find his work

I searched for about 2 hrs last night in Arkham West and all i found was a giant ? down near the water and busted up ambulance. I scanned it and it said partial solution found.

I am not sure what to do with these giant ?.....i solved earlier puzzles like the reporter one where you find the radio....those were easy

The giant ? spread throughout the game are things you need to scan. But you need to find the "dot" of the ? first and line the two up based on the camera's perspective, so that it looks like a completed ?.

For example: you may see a huge ? in front of a building. The dot could be on top of a ledge 40 feet above you, and you need to line the two up on-screen before scanning.

It makes perfect sense after you complete your first ?, but I can understand how my explanation could be confusing.

yeah it does make sense and would explain alot. When i first saw this ? it was a full ? with the dot, but i was up high on a ledge so i jumped down to the ground to see it. I just scanned it and went along looking for more ? thinking that what i needed to do.

When i came back to this ? later, i noticed it was missing the dot and i thought wtf??

but now it makes sense.

The game REALLY counts on you knowing about Batman's villains and universe. Also, some of them aren't accessible due to a lack of tools, but they'll still show up as active in that area.

Are you in Croc's lair still? There's two ways to go, one way is to the Batcave. I think you have to go through a vent or a pipe.

Yeah, you can do all the riddle after the story, I found it a little boring though since theres no enemies.
