I don't care TBH. This isn't an MMO with a sophisticated economy where gaming the system can give you a big advantage over other players.

I'd like to get the legendaries for myself though since the hunt for loot is one of the main draws IMO.

i dont understand how farming a boss and getting the same weapon over and over is cheating. The game chooses to let you farm this boss and chooses to give you the same weapon. Its not like he is exploiting a glitch or something. I dont see how giving the gun away is even part of the discussion. One of the main features in coop is trading weapons.

There's a difference between getting the same item more than once from farming and duping.

Duping is when you use flaws in the game design to make multiple copies of something. For example, going into someone's game, giving them a rare item, and quitting the game from the XMB before the game can save your character. That allows you keep the item for yourself while also giving it to another player. You can do the same with money.

Like I said, I don't think it's a big deal in this game because there's no PvP emphasis or economy that gives anyone an unfair advantage.

the way hand describes it though, it sounded like he is farming and then giving away the gun. so why the need to back out of the game?

I farmed a boss, got a weapon and could give you a copy of it if you didn't feel like spending COUNTLESS hours trying to get it yourself.

I drop it, you pick it up (save and quit) and I back out of the game.

I didn't complain about getting free shit you knob. I just said it was pathetic compared to what you get from PS+ basically paying the same yearly fee.

It seems that M$ is starting to feel the heat from the benefits of their competitors service but their effort is lackluster to say the least.

That's part of the issue that made it so strange. If their service is so amazing and their user base is so happy with it, which it seems for the most part is the case because people keep paying, why even bother having a rewards program at all? It just seems to me it makes them look bad because they're saying "Hey, wegive you free stuff too!" but it's a slap in the face because it's so paltry.

But back to the Borderlands 2 talk gents.

I'm a little sad that I haven't been addicted to this game like the first. Every time I have some free gaming time I'd rather play Driver: SF. So weird.

I soloed Saturn on PT1.

Upgraded Axton's Gunpowder tree so I could get access to the Nuke.

Worked out well on the 5th time I took on the metal bastard.

Who know a few sheets of sheet metal and a barrel could stop laser fire and general mayhem from a 50-foot-tall Mech?

New Borderlands 2 trophies reveal Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage DLC

Borderlands 2's next slice of DLC has been detailed just days after the launch of Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty add-on this week.

Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage is believed to be another large campaign expansion, and probably the second of the game's four Season Pass packs.

Its existence was betrayed by PlayStation 3 Trophy data updated by a recent patch - the same method used by NeoGAF to out Captain Scarlett earlier this month.

Three Trophies exist for the new DLC (the same amount as for Captain Scarlett). They reveal fresh objective "Long Way To The Top" as well as a series of Campaign of Carnage side-missions. You'll get a new gold Trophy for collecting 10 pictures of Moxxi hidden throughout the campaign.

Borderlands 2 developer Gearbox is yet to formally announce the add-on, which may still be weeks or months from release.

Isn't one of the major strengths of this game in it's replay value? By playing the game over and over (and farming) and picking up the same (or similar) weapons that might be 1) Sold or 2) Given away, I really don't see the issue with that. If a player were "cheating (i.e. circumventing the rules of the game to acquire an advantage over other participants or the game parameters itself (i.e. see "Mods in BL1"), he/she would have to be doing something to the game not intended by the designers. Last time I checked, Gearbox ENCOURAGED replay and doesn't set a limit on the number of times a player can do so, except for the Pirate DLC, but that just limits the frequency, not the ability to replay over and over (i.e. General Knox - and pls don't tell me you never got into the armory via the glitch or you or a member of your party killed Crawmerax via the cliff glitch). Everyone paid thier money and can play the game as they see fit; you labeling someone a cheater doesn't technically make it so........[not looking to start a war - just my opinion]
