Have any of you guys ever had loot go missing from your backpack? I completed a mission in "The Dust" and got two Legendary loot drops out of it. An assault rifle and a shotgun (?), I needed the assault rifle and immediately equipped it and then after I saved my game and started back a few hours later the other loot item was gone. I've seen this mentioned a few times on the Gearbox forums...I just wish it had happened to some white loot item that I was going to sell off rather than something that was valued at $16K and extremely powerful.

You didn't go through an area with Rats in it recently by any chance?

Hmm.

So the new Pirate DLC has "Cursed" weapons.

Basically for all the good they do, these things have a negative effect against the player.

Ex:

The Red Text means that it when you get a decent hit on the enemy, your Crit % is better.

The Blue Text means that for every shot you take, you also suffer damage against you as well. :kobe:

That isn't something new to the game.. There was a quest where you end up with a cursed weapon. Made you slow as fuck frozen dog shit

"Officially" Cursed then.

I know the SMG the Irish guy gives you Slags you the minute you fire a shot.

Then we all know about the talking guns and shields.

And the SMGs that slow you down to snail speed like you've pointed out.

And I think the shield that Novas after you've lost shields plus drops 8 or 9 explosive 'nades that almost instantly kill you after the fact...

I'm pretty sure I picked up a cursed gun once, it was an assault rifle that did ridiculous damage for my level but when I brought it out I could barely move. I was really confused because when I switched to any of my other guns it was fine.

this dlc doesnt have the same coolness as the game. some of the levels are pretty badass, but the characters you encounter are meh....plus, and this might be the game wearing on me...but alot of the missions are starting to be repetitive.

the biggest let down is how super easy it is. these missions are all level 30 trivial. the mini bosses are 3 shot kills at best. it should have scaled to your level if you are beyond level 30

Are you playing Normal or True Vault Hunter Mode? I'm not surprised by that if you're playing Normal. The level scaling was much better in TVHM for the main story.

If you're playing solo, you'll probably want to start a TVHM run and get to at least level 40 to beat the last two rounds of the Hyperion Circle of Slaughter.

The graveyard.sav glitch that has been hitting so many players has turned out to be a "viral" infection of sorts that is passed across players, originating with the modding community. It may have been accidental, it may have been intentional, who knows. I'd rather not debate that here, I would like to keep this informative.

What is graveyard.sav? What does this have to do with me?
When you get hit by the glitch that turns your save into graveyard.sav, upon entering FFYL and then subsequently dying for whatever reason, you will never respawn. You die and go into a free roam camera. If you try to load another character, dashboard, restart your xbox, etc, your save data is completely gone and there is no hope of recovering it at that point, as it is renamed graveyard.sav and is missing the majority of the data it once had.

What?! How did I get this?
As stated above, the glitch originated with the modding community and may or may not have been accidental. It spread from there, and it passes from the infected player to all other players in the game with said infected player. At this point, it's a terrible chain, and chances are it passed to you through some randoms.

But I don't play with randoms! I play with my friends only
Do your friends play with randoms? Have any of you ever had somebody come into a game and trade you anything? It's easy to spread, unfortunately.

How can I get my character back?
Once your save file has turned into graveyard.sav, you cannot get your character back. Too much data has been lost at that point, and it is far beyond salvageable.

So how can I prevent this, or save my character if it gets effected later?
If you want to prevent this, you have to make sure you're not playing with randoms, and that everybody you play with isn't playing with randoms, AND that it isn't currently effecting anybody in your group. Along with that, MAKE FREQUENT BACKUPS, and if you are on 360, do not backup to the Cloud, as it will sync with your HD saves and your backups will be overwritten, apparently. Memory card or USB drive is best.
