Same old ass engine, they just update maps and weapons - story is always garage.

Oh, and the fact that they claim they'll get the sales record back from Rockstar... Hilarious.

BF4 is using an updated, but almost identical engine. Just updating maps and weapons from BF3. And I've been told the BF3 story was God awful.

You should be pissed at EA for it and boycott their game :dd:

COD is honestly more popular because it's an easier to just pick up and play. It's a perfect fit for casual gamers. If BF had small ass maps and you could run around like a chicken with it's head cut off, it would be just as "popular". That's just my 2 cents.

I think it's more of a perfect fit for people...

1) That don't want to walk across the map for 20 minutes to find the first opposing player.
2) Don't want to deal with an entire team of campers in every single game.
3) That don't like vehicles in FPS, because no one can balance them unless your Halo.
4) Want to play more than 2 game modes.

For me personally, I can't stand the shooting mechanic. It just doesn't feel right to me at all. I'm also not a big fan of how long the games take. I much prefer the 10 minute game as I have shit to do. Both games are crazy popular, but BF will never beat CoD in terms of popularity/sales. Titanfall will have the best shot at even coming close in the near future.

The first one is one of the biggest complaints I hear from anyone that plays the game. I've experienced it myself on several occasions too. The 2nd one is hilarious because people always bitched about CoD campers and then you get to BF and the entire game is all about it. 4th one is just other complaints I hear from people. Only 2 main game modes are played.

It feels really clunky to me and I don't care about realism at all. I care about realism when it comes to games that mimic something like sports. I want a smooth feel and BF3 didn't do that for me at all. I didn't play the previous BF games though so hopefully they were different.

BF is focused more on realism though, which is my point. It sounds like you played BF and struggled to do the things you're used doing on COD. Which is hard for most COD fans to switch over in the first place..

I played the BF3 beta after not playing CoD for several months. Then bought BF3, played for like 6 hours, and tried to wake up afterward. Put maybe 12 hours total into it. I did well in the games I played, probably 1.5 K/D. Just got sick of running around forever only to be sniped by a guy that's been sitting in a building for the last half and hour.
