Waiting for the new consoles.....it sucks living under a rock and avoiding AC, BF and COD.

Other than a vast need for next-gen water and less hitch in populated city areas, you could buy AC4 now and be just fine.

COD's (and BF4 if you don't have it for PC) the one to wait for.

Of note, across the board there is the XBONE embargo that drastically affects any and all reviews if you want to compare next-gen to current gen to PC.

Also, I've seen multiple times within the articles that the PS4 version has problems with frame-rate at certain points (during MP of all things and when there's heavy smoke effects and/or a large amount of destructible elements going off at once).

IMO, I still think the game's a decent purchase if you need a COD fix but you aren't going to see the groundbreaking innovation that COD4 and apparently BLOPS 2 brought to the table.

I never go to IGN (and can't at work anyway), but I am going to go out on a limb and guess that Ghosts logos litter that page.

Multiple reviews mentioned that Ghosts cribbed from the Pick 10 system of BLOPS 2 and even opined about how this game should have kept in modes such as Headquarters that were in BLOPS 2 but not in this game.

Understandably enough since IW (and those who worked with them) didn't want to seem like they were copy/pasting for their own game.

Also, no Theatre Mode, lack of customisable emblems and lack of League Play are gonna hurt this game as well if you'd like me to go on.

Caved in and bought it today along with a new mic/headset. I'm on PS3 for the foreseeable future and won't make the jump to "next gen" until after the holiday rush calms down.

^next gen will have 18, with the possibility of 24-32... i cant imagine that many people in such small ass maps though...
