True story, I played against Channing Crowder in high school and he was soft as a pop tart. We handled his team 17-6 despite us being terrible that year. He makes for some hilarious quotes though.

I don't really get how Crowder turned into a racist. First off, his name is fucking Channing...Secondly, he went to a really preppy suburban school in Sandy Springs, GA. It was at least 65% white. I met him once at a wrestling tournament there and he even talked like a white guy.

It appears the just thinks white people are slow. Other than him playing with a few who may fit his perception I'm not srue that has anything to do with his upbringing. Its not as if he said he doesn't like white people. He just has some views that I'd say a lot more people share, but are too afraid to voice.

Stereotypes are a part of sports. It's a pejudice view point, but in reality there is some truth to the statement that black athletes are deemed to be more athletic and fast than white athletes, which is where Crowder is getting his beliefs from. You could say the comments are racist, but obviously it won't cause much of a stir. I know, I know....."if a white person said _______ they'd be finded, suspended, etc" We live in an unfair world full of double standards.

Not as much of a joke as Bart Scott though. Guy does fucking ZERO. Sure runs his mouth like a champ though. He road the coattails of Ray Lewis and one big sack of Big Ben while in Baltimore, now he rides the coattails of David Harris and Rex Ryan in NY.

Crowder has played less seasons in the league, and less games per season than Bart Scott.....yet his career stats aren't that far off from Bart Scott's.
