Jets (mostly anonymous cowards) rip Tebow & WR's to shreds

Can only take this article with a grain of salt. Since these so-called 'sources' are unknown they can really be bullshitting the entire piece if they wanted too. A lot of these "quotes" are either false or way out of context I would bet.

While I take it with a grain of salt, when there's smoke, there's fire. This team cannot perform the way they have been the last 2 months. There is no way you can play the way they've been playing in a big city, where the media will be on your ass 7 days a week.

Been saying it for a while, Jets have no skill players on offense.

Our line is good, we have a top center and a good left tackle, our guards could be better however. We just let go out Connor since he was injured. Our wide receivers are some of the worst in the league, Keller injured at te, Shonn Greene playing soft for a majority of the season. Offensively, we could scrap everyone but mangold, Fergs, and Tebow. Tebow since he's a unique weapon only, he's not starting material. Hill is also a rookie and showed flashes of starting caliber play, he might be good enough to stick around.

This always was a defense first minded team. Shame since once Revis got hurt, the writing was on the wall for this team. We're not doing anything this season, besides effecting our draft position.

Win or lose, I don't see this being an important season for Rex. With the Revis injury among all the injuries among the offensive players.

I don't know what direction this team needs to take, I'm not the gm/coach so I don't know what trades are possible or which route to take, but I hope they have a better sense of this team than me.

Looking at it, I may have underestimated the probability that Rex could get canned. I love Rex, I feel like he's a good coach, but at the same time, I agree with you guys that he's not keeping a good reign over the locker room.

I have no idea who we'd higher if we let him go. A pipe dream would be an established head coach such as a Cowher. However it is, if it ever happens, I hope we see an emphasis on offense.

I see Rex getting at least one season without Sanchez before he gets canned, that is, if he isn't a supporter of Sanchez. If he is the one fighting for him to stay the starter, then he should get canned as well, but I don't know what dynamic is going on between Rex and his bosses.

That being said, the Jets are trash, but still not that far away from being a playoff team in the exceptionally weak AFC.

BTW, this year, the Jets rank 24th in points scored and 24th in points allowed. The Broncos last year were 25th in points scored and 24th in points allowed. So even with an awful offense lead by Tebow and a defense similar to the Jets, the Broncos were able to make the playoffs while the Jets won't even sniff a WC. Might as well try Tebow and maybe see what you have because it cannot be much worse than what they have with Sanchez.

I dont think madden gives you the freedom it should in this case. Tebow is a decent athlete and would be great/serviceable at fullback, tight end, linebacker..but I dont think you can put him in those spots ?

Talkers are full of talk, bark louder than they should and set the standard for how people are allowed to speak to each other. Those who talk typically have less control/discipline.

This team is seriously flawed...trying to ground and pound with a strictly north/south runner with very little vision...no gamebreakers on this offense. The WR's starting is Kerley (who is a slot WR, NOT a starting caliber WR) and Hill (who's extremely raw and not ready). The other guys getting major PT is Clyde Gates (picked off the dolphins scrap heap for fucks sake) and Schillens (who I swore is a burner but he's mostly a possession type, can't get off the line quickly). Keller is decent but isn't a gamebreaker.

THERE'S NOT ONE GUY ON THIS OFFENSE THAT SCARES YOU.

Jets are predictable running the ball (mostly between the tackles...i've rarely seen an outside the tackles, tosses, power I's, etc...McKnight has been great actually and is the closest we have to a playmaker, but he had to get switched to realize to wake the fuck up.

Jets won't go nowhere unless they get some speed and get it stat. They need a much better RB, someone who can bounce runs to the outside, or be much quicker.

When you have a predictable offense and run game that around 2/3's of the time they run, you can shorten the field. Then on 2nd and 3rd downs, you again can shorten the field because the Jets have really no one TO stretch the field...the only one who's been good enough at this is Kerley, and he's not a burner but more of a great slot guy.

Forget Tebow, the bigger issue are the comments about the talent level. That's an indictment of the front office and Rex too. Jets have done a bad job of finding, developing and keeping young talent. Mo's post is spot on. They never replaced the core guys from Rex's first two years.

You can run a zoo if its talented. It works. But you have to have the right people in the locker room. He doesnt have any of those guys anymore. Id love to blow the Jets up but Im not firing Rex. That franchise is not exactly a beacon for top grade FA coaches. Its devoid of talent. If they get rid of him and try to start all over they are in for a long long haul.
