Playing probably my third game online and I beat this guy who plays Florida (I am Wisconsin). He is running the crap out of his RB wide to my right side the first trip up the field the first quarter.

I select defend RUN RIGHT and begin to shut him down as I change my defense. No big deal, right.

The game gets into the 4th quarter and I'm up and begin to select defend PASS and he throws a couple of picks and I'm up 3 scores late and he disconnects.

I get a message about my CHEESE on predicting his runs/passes and how he is gonna report me. I laughed and went on to the next game.

For me it's not cheese because you can get seriously burned selecting pass if they are running and vice versa.

For me, something that I think is cheese that someone was doing yesterday was throwing deep passes, and manually selecting their receiver while the ball was way up in the air then running to the ball with the receiver. It creates added separation between the receiver and the defender.

Your gonna get killed for this post dude lol. This is NOT cheese -- it's the exact opposite. This is just a player using his stick skills to go get the ball rather then letting the CPU do the work.

With some of these backs, you can't help but do the run commit because guys like John Clay, LaMichael James and Mark Ingram are near impossible to bring down with one guy.

nah I know what he's talking about it's a user catch obviously but it's such a deep pass that the user has to time to readjust the receive and bring him around for a rocket type catch.

I am not talking about user catching. If you mean selecting your guy right before the pass is about to hit their hands and making the catch. I am talking about selecting the guy mid route and bumping my corner out of the way to create an unrealistic amount of seperation.

This is only really a problem on fly routes where it is just a straight route. Not on slants, curls, posts, etc...

iIm Michigan and 2nd play fot he game I ran an option with Denard Robinson and when I pitched it he caught ti and returned the fumble for a TD. Next possession I try it again but this time I fake pitch it and he falls for it 65 yard TD run. I ran the same play the rest of the game because he always went for the pitch and never the QB. Robinson ended the game with 345 yards rushing. Is that cheese for running the same play that has never worked for me before or he just sucks and never made me adjust?

LOL, fair enough. I have been playing online football for a long time. In previous leagues I have been in it was banned because it created an unfair advantage to the receiver, even if you user controlled the DB it didn't matter. That being said, if everyone thinks it's cool than cool.
