i have no sympathy for "tortured fans". the Simmons column with all the crybabies was a fucking joke.

Heres how you improve sports in your city: you stop fucking paying for them. stop giving the inept owners money by going and then bitching about your team losing. this is on the Cavs for not building a real team for the guy. they shoulda orgasm'd cash at a quality coach, they shoulda godfathered a quality GM and not made all the stupid decisions. they should have made the team around him better and he wouldnt be leaving.

Just because thats where he's from doesn't mean he owes them anything. He already gave them 7 more years of relevence than the cav's had before and now the best thing for these people is to make the team so irrelevent that Gilbert actually has to hire competent people to run his basketball organization and not just collect the shared revenue from LeBron

Lebron made the basketball decision. People of Cleveland HAVE to understand this. The Cavs had 7 years to bring enough help around him and get a roster built up that could compete. They never did. He made the BASKETBALL decision. I think that's what is lost in all of this. Had he went to the Knicks, I probably would be right there with everyone burning the jerseys and shit because that would have just been for the money. Instead he went to Miami to play with 2 of the top players in the league. Big difference.
