College vs Pro

Which do you prefer? Personally, I like the NFL better. More weeks, more great players, and I can watch them all with NFL Sunday Ticket. If I watched every single college football game, I'd be a fat-ass couch potato. While the NFL doesn't have the upsets that college does, there are still a good number of great games. But the biggest reason I like the NFL better is because of the playoffs. The playoffs are fun, and the Super Bowl is the greatest sporting event that I'll ever watch. I hate the BCS, to be honest. Since I'm a fan of Indiana, who will never make a major bowl game anyway, I want to see a playoff in college. That would be intense.

My vote still goes with the NFL.

I understand your point about more variety in CFB and maybe even that the crowd gets into it more but how are you going to say that every game matters in CFB and thereby imply that it doesn't in the NFL?

what i meant is that in CFB, you lose a couple of games you are out of the title race (except for 2007). In the NFL, you just have to make the playoffs (Jets)

the playoffs are great in the NFL but the regular season games are meh

Because you can still make it to the superbowl with a 9-7 record. If you lose more than twice in college football you have no shot at playing for a NC.

Plus, SC's been decent since I've been alive. Good/great as long as I've been paying attention.

Raiders have been on a down-slope since I've been alive (though 1999-2001 was decent) and they've sucked as long as I've been paying attention. And hard.

HAHAHA. You haven't been to a Washington State game. Cougs were bad this year and the Seahawks were bad this year. The crowd in Seattle was electric all season. The crowd in Pullman was crap.

For me its pretty equal.

For awhile it was the NFL because Pitt was down in the dumps so I enjoyed watching the Steelers more but I still always enjoyed College Football. I hate the end of the year BCS drama though, which makes the NFL edge it out, but to me Pitt > Pretty much any sports team to me.

i guess it just depends on where you live. In the South, college football is king. In the north its pretty balanced. And the West is all about NFL

That is true. 3 or 4 NFLers on any given college team. Meanwhile it's all NFLers on the NFL teams...

There are also only 32 teams in the NFL, not 100+.

There is also a playoff in the NFL.

If you are a championship contending team shouldn't even come close to losing more than twice in a season. If you are a championship contender how many teams do you play a season that have the talent that your team has? There is such a difference between a 10-0 Florida team playing a mediocre college team than a 13-0 Saints team playing a mediocre NFL team.

College Football. I love how for the most part, everyone plays as if it's their last chance to play the game. I find the NFL unwatchable sometimes.
