The stadium thing is overblown, IMO. Peyton had no trouble slinging the ball all over the yard at Arrowhead in a January playoff game in '03 where they weren't even forced to punt one time...

The winters aren't as bad here as they are in the northeast.

I think the cold weather factor is important purely for his health and not do with how well he plays in cold weather vs in a dome.

With things like neck injuries, cold weather can aggravate it.

I remember a Rugby League player who played for Auckland in the NRL (an Australian and New Zealand competition) had a similar sort of injury to what Manning had. One of the reasons he had to leave us and sign for Brisbane was because the cold Auckland winters were messing with his injury and preventing rehab, as well as re-aggravating it whenever it looked like he was healthy again.

It was ok when he went to a warm weather city because even if he played away in a cold weather city, it was only for a couple of days so it could be easily managed.
 
Peyton Manning won't play in the cold at all if he's in Miami. :shifty: It's not like they play the Pats, Bills and Jets... In Boston, upstate New York and New Jersey.... Maybe the NFL will schedule those games at the beginning of the year for the next 3-4 seasons to protect him.. Anyway, with the way the winters have been the past couple years, it isn't going to be cold enough to affect him anyway..
