My boy DLed the War of the Rings DLC to set a new character.

Need to know who else is playing.

Also, we're running the free Vanilla stuff so no worries on DLC for now.

That was a good time. After you all left I figured out the hard way that the Alerts (after you've already beat them as a mission) give you no good EXP. Did two of them and realized my XP bar didn't move much at all.

Gotta do them quests to level up I guess.

I keep hearing that the game "really starts" when you hit lvl 30. Do explain please. Is it just the same instances over and over and over?

Everything up to lvl 30 is basically the tutorial. When you hit 30 you should be ready to hit the raids and hard alerts. Also after that point you basically lvl up using your CR (Combat rating) and SP (skill point). You increase your CR by getting better gear and increase your SP by doing feats. Each SP can be used to make you stronger and/or unlock new weapons. As you improve your CR you will be able to run more content.

My main character is CR 102 and has 140 SP.

Hello PlayStation Players,


As we previously discussed in this thread (An Update On PlayStation 4 Patching), we have been working with PlayStation to improve the method and, more importantly, the size of patch downloads on the PlayStation 4. We are excited to announce that the new system is now in place!


Game Update 37 will be the first update to utilize the new system, and that means a download much closer in size to what you would expect and have seen on both PC and PlayStation 3. We know this has been an important concern for most players, and we're thrilled to see the improvement become a reality.




Download Messaging and Size


When patching, you will continue to see the "full" patch size that someone who has never patched would need to download. However, after a few minutes, your system will identify what you have already downloaded and what still need to download, and only download what is needed. For example, for Game Update 37 today, your system will start your download process showing about 7gb out of 8.8gb, only downloading about 1.8gb in total (assuming you have already downloaded Game Update 36).




Previous Updates


Please also note that the smaller patch sizes will only take effect from Game Update 37 and on. If you are not currently up to date (have not already downloaded Game Update 36), you will still have the larger download until you are caught up. Then, any updates in the future will utilize the new system and be significantly smaller.
