This game releases the 25th of this month. I could've sworn there was a thread for it but couldn't find one. I'm pretty stoked for it because I loved the first one. I have the PS3 CE of this one pre-ordered from EA thanks to a sweet 50% coupon.

Also, if you have any Dead Space file save you unlock the original plasma cutter for the sequel.

Cant wait for this. Im actually stoked about the multiplayer. It looks awesome as fuck. Ive had my doubts about the single player though. I hope it doesn't get all religious and shit, plus now Issac talks, which I don't like but doesn't really hinder the game.

I can't wait. I loved the first, and the controls in the demo feel a little smoother. The multiplayer is definitely interesting, but I just hope they have a strong singleplayer component. I'd hate to see this end up as another MoH.

Also, I think you get access to additional items if you played through Dead Space: Ignition.

i never played 1. the vibe of the demo was outstanding. seemed like a great game...but the control was ruining it for me

It's a motion comic mixed with simple puzzle games. It's interesting for some backstory of the events immediately before DS2. I probably wouldn't pay for it, but considering it was free with a preorder, I have it.

It has 4 different in-game paths and (I'm assuming) up to 4 different unlocks.

Yeah, I got it free with my pre-order as well. I still have the Dead Space movie to watch.

I'm going to check it out now. It has TROPHIES! Sweet.

It's in the game, but a Dead Space save gives you an additional skin for it.

Umm, ok...

I have the 360 version of the first game. In order to unlock the plasma cutter in the second game you need a save file from the first. Since I am getting the second game for ps3 that would be impossible. So I decided to order the ps3 version of the first game since I have a few $20 coupons for the EA store. I got it for free and only had to pay shipping since it is a $20 game.
I will probably play through the first on again bevause I loved it.

first one was awesome IF you had it on one of the higher difficulties. the combination of limited supplies and having the possibility of a fucking necromorph come out anytime got the adrenaline pumping and really did make me nervous while playing the game. This game legitimately had me scared while playing it.

im probably going to end up renting it from gamefly though

Real into the first one and got pretty far then just stopped. Never finished it. Havent touched it in probably 6 months.
