I never said Desean Jackson wasn't an incredible talent, but incredible talent alone isn't enough.

His antics this season have been a disgrace.

I can see him taking his talents to Dallas, so he can try and get back at the Birds.

I want a bigger body of work before I give up on Fitzpatrick, but like I wrote before, I didn't like Buffalo's decision to give him a $59M contract. Just not a big enough body of work.

As a Bills' fan, I want Fitzpatrick to work out.

All in good fun dave, you nailed this one and I was wrong. I'm shocked that Jackson has let a contract dispute have this much of an effect on his play this year. Have any veterans on the team spoke out about this yet the way Browns players did about Hillis? That locker room has got to be in complete disarray at this point, I think the fat man may finally be done for real.

I want to think that Reid is done, but I just don't think so. Honestly, this was a bigger mistake in building the roster. There is no short yardage solution, the line has been :turrible: and that is just on offense. On defense, DMC was overmatched as a nickel back, Asomugha has not been as good as advertised. Their linebackers, which have always been a weak spot under Reid, were not improved either.

There are definitely going to be some gut-checking moves coming this off-season, but I would be willing to bet Reid manages to stay on for one more season.

As for DeSean Jackson, he is a much better playmaker than receiver, and he can't be overvalued for a contract extension. His attitude also has not made him an attractable option. I don't think the Eagles can afford to let him walk outright, but I am not sure they will get much in a trade for him at this point if they franchised him.

If they franchise him, they get nothing back. Though it's possible one team might be able to trade for him at the max because some lower salary teams are gonna be forced to hit the cap under the new CBA.

They believe in risk/reward, sure. He wasn't worth the risk in their eyes. He was not on their draft board, character issues being ones of multiple reasons. I knew that then, just like I know that now.

I smell 9-7 and just missing out for the Texans.

Yeah, that too. Castillo's been a great offensive line coach and should have kept tracking that route. There have been far too many adjustments that they needed to make, and Castillo just doesn't have the experience to pull them off.

The Eagles putting Samuel in a lame duck situation was ridiculous. DRC as a nickel CB never worked, and the linebackers sucked ... I don't care if Jim Johnson is D co-ordinator, he couldn't have fixed that.

The wide 9 is on Washburn, the personnel moves on Reid/Banner. I have no problem giving Castillo his share of the blame ... but to put it all on Castillo is unfair.

Andy Reid is also the freaking GM if I'm not mistaken, so yes the personnel decisions are mostly his fault. The OL has been pretty good this year even with 2 rookies starting, but outside of 2 games the defense has been dreadful.

I think I already posted but we need a vet WR to get Riley, Jackson, Avant and Maclin in line. Mac, Riley and Avant with their drops and DJax attitude. It definitely worked for the Steelers with Antonio Brown and Hines.

Coming off the lockout, you install a new scheme, involving the offensive line coach as he becomes the defensive coordinator. Then you bring in around 5 new starters. It's just a mess to try to do this year.
