They also invested heavily in the DL as well. I think a poor scheme and terrible defensive playcalling contributed more to our defensive issues. Give Jim Johnson that talent and it would be a completely different story.

If I was running an NFL team these days, I would invest very little money in DB's (CB's in particular), and go all in with pass rushers and, obviously, the QB position.

I get what your saying. But we signed Cullen Jenkins, Jason Babin, and had Trent Cole. It's not like signing Aso and trading for DRC kept us from going all in with the DL, because I think we did. The problem is we have horrible LBs and an offensive line coach as our Def Coordinator.

I think teams are going to start valuing big, fast safeties to counteract the Gronkowskis, Jimmy Grahams, and Jeremichael Finleys of the NFL. If Sean Taylor (RIP) were in today's NFL, he'd be worth his weight in gold.

They got Q-Bert for basically nothing. Paid him jack, too.

Doesn't it speak volumes that they would take him but say "No" to Jackson? Especially when you consider they probably had a need at WR in 08?

Granted, it wasn't just the guy's attitude, but like I said, that was one of multiple reasons. The Eagles are seeing a few of them right now.
