Maybe, but it looks like it could capture the hardcore market. I don't think Square Enix was expecting incredible sales with this game, judging by the marketing campaign.

Deus Ex is a gamer's franchise, anyways.
 
I'd recommend getting it this week if you're going to get it at all; whatever sale, coupon, etc. you can get it with, the better...

To paraphrase Thomas, this Fall's gonna rape a LOT of wallets this season with all the games coming out.

I think this is one of those games I get way down the line for cheap. I will say, the benefit of having so many awesome games this generation is that I'll be in no rush to move on to the next-gen.
 
looks like this is the "first paycheck at a new job that is paying me better than i've ever made before" completely unnecessary item of choice.

I could just pirate it, but Deus Ex is one of those series I will buy to support good gaming. There ain't a whole lot of those left these days, particularly single player games...
 
Kmart offers a $20 coupon? I might have to get this then. I have a $20 Kmart coupon that is burning a hole in my pocket.
 
ign review seemed very positive and a 9.0. they mention some technical issues but i find that to be subjective alot of times. i mean, how can it be a 9 if its badly broken?

gamstop gave it an 8.5 and they made it sound like their own score was too high based on all the bad things they discuss.

with it going anywhere from 30-40 hours, this looks like a buy. graphics look sweet and the choices offered seem like fun. being completely bored with all my games right now doesnt hurt this games chances of being bought
 
Looking at my copy right now. I don't know about you guys but I like when a company goes the extra mile and wraps the game in that extra cardboard sleeve. It just looks cooler. I also got a sweet ass 8"x10" photo for free. It says it's $5 reatil. So free picture and another $20 coupon. Thank you Kmart!

Depending on your guys reaction I might just buy it this week. Was going to wait for a price drop but the reviews have been pretty damn good.
 
by watching the guys at GB play it gunplay/action is a bit on the weak side. The story, missions and environment of the game are its strong points. They recommend everyone play this as it has some weaknesses the strong points out weigh them by a lot.
 
Picked it up like Twigg did at my local K-Mart.

Got my $20 coupon to go towards Madden and the first official Game of the Year Candidate...

Shame it'll be forgotten behind Batman/UC3/MW3/BF3/SKYRIM/etc. but them's the breaks.

...also, to answer Buzzman's question, I got it for PS3.
 
While the game has an instruction booklet that's bigger than a pamphlet, be sure to watch ALL THE TUTORIALS before you start the game.

I know most of you like to jump headfirst into a game and figure it out as you go along but for this type of IP, with multiple branching paths/etc. to take, it's easy to miss something.

Worse yet, you might just get lost and have to reset a save.
 
i hoped to see some impressions but i guess nobody really has any time in yet.

i got it for xbox too. about to fire it up

i agree about the cardboard casing. i love getting those. i did not get a free picture though. I got it from Gamestop so it may be a kmart deal
