You do get bonus XP for not getting caught. There's a "Ghost" XP bonus for every section you pass through without getting caught by anyone, and there's the "Smooth Operator" bonus for completing a mission without raising an alert (I think this one only pertains to cameras/non-organic detectors). There are also bonuses for non-lethal takedowns not to mention the XP you'll get for finding and using vent shafts to avoid patrols.

EDIT: LOL at GameStop getting butt-hurt about OnLive passes being included with the PC copies of the game. At least they're offering refunds for anyone who bought it (which means a lot of people might be getting it for free since it can be activated on Steam).

yep, i know...but i dont think many people are playing and u see to be further along. i played for about 4 hours last night and im still on the first mission.
i play slow and check everything out.

Plus u can play stealthy and still get points and loot. just put guys to sleep and loot them

drug dealers. I killed them because I didn't seem to have any other choice. I tried talking to them but nothing happens. So I killed them and completed the mission but I have a feeling that is going to have some serious repercussions down the road.

You're kidding right? What happens? Because I figured there was somthing to do with that. I swear I shot it at least ten times and then game up. I bet I was just a few shots short. Of course.

And what's up with the mission where...
 
what's her names mom wants you to investigate the death of her daughter? I go to the police station and I see there is a back way to get to the evidence locker but the alley that leads to it is blocked by pulsing electricity on the floor. How do you get passed that?

Maybe you just have to make a basket once. I know I shot about a dozen times before it happened. Try standing next to the dumpster against the wall and aiming a little above the backboard.

 
Also, I have no idea about the electricity (I haven't tried the mission yet). I know on the first mission there was a generator on the roof with a vent going through it that led to a breaker box to turn off the power. I'd look for something like that.

i have no issue with load times. got mine installed on 360. loading seems about average to me.

i love this stealth options. still on the first mission. i got to the door with your first hack. i went thru the entire mission so far never using my tranq gun or any other weapon. Im sneaking around knocking guys out. that in itself is a strategy and takes time
 
this game reminds me of the film minority report. a little bit of today mixed with the look and feel of the future. the way they flipped thru those transparent screens.

i also like the dialog choices. game really feels like a stealth RPG
 
This game feels like what I would imagine what Alpha Protocol was striving to accomplish, without the timed dialogue decisions.
 
still not done with the 1st mission. Got to the advanced hacking part of it. Not sure i full understand how thats working. Plus got my first augmentation. Did use it yet....will hold off till tomorrow.
 
Twigg, the attempts remaining number in the hacking minigame only goes down if you disconnect before the system traces you. So you can theoretically hack the same computer/keypad forever as long as you let the countdown expire.

No idea how to increase your hacking skill though. I've been concentrating on the conversation and stealth trees, and I haven't looked very closely in those areas in the augmentation tree.

It almost seems like increasing your hacking is one of the most important things to do early on. I just wish IO knew how to raise my access to level 2 because there are so many computers and keypads that require level 2 access.

I really do like this game but I'm feeling so overwhelmed at this point. The entire time I'm playing I'm thinking "Did I do that right? Should I have did that better? Should I restart?" I never do that with any other games.
