Literally about 10 seconds after I logged on here while playing, Jensen started talking, and my girlfriend said "He sounds like Christian Bale's crappy Batman voice."

I thought it was Milo Ventimigglia from Heroes. The bitch does the voice for the new Wolverine cartoon on G4, and it sounds just as bad.

Which character was he? If he was the one that could fly and had the politician brother I couldn't stand him. He was such an over actor it made me sick and he was one or the main reasons I stopped watching that show early on.

these missions where u have to remain undetected can be a pain in the ass. i get detected for random stupid reasons. Like when i shoot a guy point blank with a tranq dart in the back and it misses him so then i get spotted.

Are you sure it missed? Depending on the type of enemy, tranq darts take a different amount of time to take effect for non-headshots and may alert the target until they pass out. Headshots are the only way to incapacitate a target immediately, and they're the only way to take down the heavies.

I'd also recommend getting the add-on that auto-adjusts the target reticule for distance and movement.

i didnt think of that. i just turned off the aentenna in derlict row. i advanced and saw the next merchant who has that upgrade for the tranq gun.

i had to reload and go back cause i still have to finish off a side quest.

and i found that share cropper woman. She had info on stuff and one thing she said was in the sewers u can find stuff hidden behind patched walls. So i get the aug for xray vision and go thru the sewer and didnt find anything down there.

Man, the first boss was a bit of a nut buster until I realized what the fuck I needed to do to beat him down. I can see why it led to the following Penny Arcade cartoon:

i really wish this game tracked your hours and had some kind of level tracking. i do like how when u load up the game it shows you a summary of previous missions completed.

FEMA labs ending is the first boss Maynard. You can't miss it. I thought before that maybe I had circumvented a boss, but no. The dude you fight at the end of the FEMA lab thing is most definitely a boss that you HAVE to kill...and he is a bit of a prick with a very annoying (and powerful) Metal Gear Solid-esque gatling gun on his hand.

The rocket launcher takes up too many inventory slots, and rockets are too scarce for it to be carried full time IMO.

As for the boss, I was able to take him down the the tranq rifle, but it took quite a few shots. However, there is a good amount of ammo lying around during the boss fight.

yeah that rocket launcher wasnt worth the effort. i would have had to waste 2 points for the breather aug to get past the poison gas...unless there is a med u can take, which i dont have. Then the inventory like u said. So i said fuck it

I threw a lot of shit at him and used the stun gun on him which seemed VERY effective. Once I knew what I was doing, it wasn't hard at all, but like I said, I can see why initially a person would feel like the game kind of betrayed them. It's funny in retrospect considering Twigg's post about his friend saying the game is too stealth friendly (which I know was retracted) considering that fight is WAY more challenging as a stealth character than I would imagine it being a more combat augmented character.

im carrying around a turret.

i came across my first in the fema lab when i hacked a PC and saw it had a turret connected. I chose to have it attack enemies. Then i goto disable the cameras and the pop up in the left starts rattling off man down man down man down like 10 times.....i just flipped thru the camera views and watched it all on TV.....those poor bastards didnt stand a chance

after the dust cleared i just looted everything and took the turret with me. Gonna see if i can get it down to the bottom floor

i carry both the stun and the peps gun. the peps gun is badass

My perfectionism when it comes to RPGs is making this game slightly less enjoyable to me. If I don't have exactly the outcome I want or make it through a section perfectly I have to replay it or I feel like I fucked up. The depth is astounding compared to the vast majority of "action-RPG's" these days so I am going to try really hard to overcome my frustrations.

Beat it tonight. I got the achievement for not setting off any alarms, but somehow I didn't get the one for not killing anyone. I have no idea when or how this happened, someone must have blown themselves up at some point or something. It is just really really really REALLY frustrating.

I don't know how I still have about 10 hidden achievements left, I got all of the possible persuasions, thought I got all the side quests but maybe not. I'll have to take a look online I spose.
