I'm not gonna lie to you, you guys did a hell of a job this year and I haven't been this excited for Madden since 2004. Been saying it for awhile now, but I'll say it again, Madden is back! Now you guys just need to tell the NCAA Football team to get there stuff together.

Also, got one question for you Ian. For the pre-game warmups where you show the players and then their stat lines (like all their 2008 key stats), when you play Franchise Mode and let's say you're 5 years into Chise Mode, opening game of the new season, would it show that players stats from the year before in your Franchise?

You haven't even played the shit yet. The thing will probably ship with broken sliders, and every game resulting in a 38-35 score, due to the CPU AI being completely incompetent yet again. I don't care about the graphics, I don't care about the lame ass halftime show... I care about good game play, and decent competition from the CPU, which we never seem to get.

Looking forward to renting 2010, and leading Detroit to the superbowl in the first season.... again.

If the sliders work, the CPU AI gives you a game, and you don't take the Lions to the SB in year one, does it change from a rental to a buy?

(Not guaranteeing that will happen or anything since I don't know how you play, but I think this year more than any other we sure have a shot)

Man, I ain't getting my hopes up or anything but it seems every year everyone is on Madden's dick and then it sits unplayed after September.
I'd love to say I have no doubt that this game will be great and will make me want to play straight through till the release of Madden 11, but until I have the game in my hands this doesn't mean shit.
Like Nuk said, nice graphics are good but the main thing is the gameplay and if I'm beating opponents 60-3 on Custom sliders with the sliders maxxed out, then obviously it's not a fun experience.

However, I will getting this game early but I just hope it doesn't turn into a game I take back after a month a la 09.

Also, Ian I don't really follow the inner workings of Madden that much, were you the lead developer last year for 09 as well or are you new? I know the guy that did NFL Head Coach joined the team but that's about as much as I know, lol

If you give me a game where the Colts/Patriots/Steelers play like the Colts/Patriots/Steelers, and kick my ass, if I'm a team like Detroit, with working sliders, of course, to fix whatever issues do come up - I'll put your picture as my computer background, and tell pray to you every night before I go to bed.

The blogs are impressive as hell, I won't lie. If the game plays like you want it to play, I'll be in football heaven until next August. But after playing the previous two Maddens, which I consider two of the worst sports games I have ever played in my life (and I'm 31 years old,) I have my doubts.

I'd love to pre-order the game right now. Unfortunately, I can't this time around.

His "theory" had nothing to do with graphics being all there is. And it does matter.


Honestly, the only thing that I really find true disappointment in with Madden this year, is superstar being left alone for the most part. Really have become a fan of these modes.

The graphics are sweet, Ian. It's looks way better than the old PS2 Maddens.
