I think this could be a better fit for Rich Rod. Lower expectations, more time to implement his offensive system, replacing a complete asstard instead of a successful coach, and Tuscon is more of an out-of-the-way place for Rich Rod to coach than at Ann Arbor.
I heard that when Rich Rod brought all his assistants to Michigan from WVU, they didn't fit in with the button-up, prep environment of Ann Arbor. Rodriguez's assistants were a bunch of hillbillies who chewed tobacco and wore jeans all the time. They were despised by everyone on campus.
