I'll give more thoughts as I get further into it but I've played about 4 hours and I can say this, if you like RPGs at all, get this game. It's great, classic Bioware. It's incredibly deep but at the same time very accessible if all you want to do is hack up some enemies.

My only complaint and this was mentioned on the IGN review I believe, it does look kinda LOTR-ish. Especially the enemies. They look alot like Uruk-Hai and other things from LOTR. But when that is my main complaint with the game, you know it's a great game.

yeah it takes me forever to find where the hell im suppose to go.

other than that i like this game. Just got past part 1 (the castle). The game seems to have a lot of slowdowns and a low framefrate. Dont know if its because i have the PS3 version but it's definetly not sharp. It is also ridiculously bloody lol. Blood everywhere and a lot of gore.

The customization is real deep as well. You chose which class you want to be: Mage, Warrior, Rogue and develop your skills depending on which class you chose. I am a Rogue right now even though my dude looks like a warrior but i hope to make him a kickass archer and stealth machine.

I believe I recall (please don't hold me to this though) reading in the Gamespot reviews that the 360 suffers from some texture problems (I'm guessing something like occurred with Mass Effect) and the PS3 has some framerate issues.

My copy is waiting for me at home via Amazon. I can't wait! I just wish I had a PC that could handle it so that I could have picked it up for that. Oh well.

Looks like a game that is a fun epic rpg that you will never finish.....

I have it from gamefly and will give it a whirl if I ever have time.

It is in the traditional DnD style so it does look like hack and slash, the dice rolls and resistance check things go on behind the scenes, so to speak. It can get deeper than that depending on how you want to play it...using the pause system to issue orders, etc.

Quite simliar to most other Bioware titles not named Mass Effect.

Alas...I am a Phillies fan and will have to put it aside for the heart-stopping game 6 tonight. But after that, I'm sure I'll be so wound that I'll be down for a number of hours!

Yeah from the reviews I read they sound awesome. Not to mention there's 6 different opening stories (2 hours long each) which is bad ass.

Speedy players should finish in 40 hours and people who take their time are looking at 70 hours. Can't wait to grab this on the way home.



Yaeh they announced there would be DLC right off the bat and I think more to come shortly...

150 hours if u add in all the sidequest and races.

I can't speak specifically to this, as I don't know what spell you're referring to. But in most cases a spell affecting "the party" affects everyone, including the caster, unless it specifies otherwise.
