Are you being serious here? It's not as if Dragon Age is reading fucking Ulysses. It's about as straight-forward as a game, hell, as anything, could be.
serious as a heart attack, I have not payed any attention at all during this game and really have no idea whats going on, I mean I have an idea but im still really confused as to why any of this shit is going on, and Ive completed all the quests to start the landsmeet but it won't start...and I can't find the arl of redcliff, he isn't in the castle and it says I need to go to him to go to landsmeet in deneriem, hes not there either, I think my game might be fucked...

Well there's part of your problem, if you don't pay attention to the conversations then you really won't know anything, because the convo's give you clues to everything that's happening, that's really the meat and bones of the game. It's changed drastically since I used to play the old Final Fantasy RPG's, it's gone from being story drive to being very character driven and it's taken me awhile to get used to. But I'm DEFINITELY glad I played this game, it's an incredible game so long as you follow with what's going on. The main part of the story is the other Grey Wardens get wiped out and you have to recruit 4 different groups to help you against the Blight, but it gets A LOT more in depth than that once you start playing.

no i just got tired of all the fucking talking all the time, I realized I was going to have to conversate, but I didn't realize that it would 20 of the 28 hours Ive put into this game... It reached its peak when I was running around fuckin dwarf ville with no idea what to do, I would probably be less confused if things were happening how they are supposed to happen but since arl of redcliff has totally disappered from my game I kinda wish I would have payed attention these last few hours...

Just beat my first playthrough with a Dalish Elf Rogue Archer and I was pretty impressed...I think I'm gonna do a DW Human Noble Warrior next and I'll probably tinker with some of the decisions I made, see about getting a different ending

Since I was fairly low-level for when I beat the game, is there a way for me to go do more quests with that character besides starting over? Taking a little break from the game since I played it all the freakin time for weeks until I beat it, but I may start a new character soon

I cannot wait for the Awakening. I didn't appreciate this game on my first playthrough as much as I do now.
First time as a human evil mage chick, I did a fair bit of the quests, just kinda charged head on into battles without really digging into pre-fight preparations and usually took the fast route through conversation. This game is massive.
2nd time as a elf rogue i'm having way more fun. digging deep into conversation options which is surprisingly opening up more game options rather than just additional story details.
for example in redcliffe, my first time through you basically are put on the spot for someone to die to save the possessed kid. keep on talking and an option pops up to leave redcliffe to head to the circle of magi for their help, without sacrificing anyone. pretty cool. i'm 15 hours in and this is as far as i've gotten. every battle i'll set myself up by stealthing my rogue in an advantageous position to attack the ranged guys, setup my ranged guys in a tough to get to position and then bottleneck with my defensive warrior. it's such a good game.
a shame none of the DLC related items will carry over into the Awakening, but from what they tell us it's not a big deal. definitely see no need to touch the Ostagar DLC when it re-releases as the items will be useless going forward.

Near the beginning of the game what did you guys do when you went to seek Arl at Redcliffe? Remember the demon boy?
From the conversations I had, there seemed to be 3 options:
1) Kill the boy
2) Let the mother sacrifice herself in a blood magic ritual to allow you to enter the Vale to kill the demon possessing her son
3) Go and ask the Circle Mages for advice/help.
I didn't want to go back to the circle because I figured it would take too long and if I decided to leave I would come back and the whole place would be wiped out. The mother was willing to sacrifice herself in order for me to save her son so I decided that was what I was going to do... Good thing I helped that blood mage Jowan, who helped prepare the ritual.
Oh and LOL @ Alistair giving me shit afterwards for letting the woman sacrifice herself to save her son. Was going to :bitch slap: his ass.

i'd assume the same price, if anything cheaper to download because of the less costs involved.
my first playthrough as a mage, i let the mother die and went in to save myself.
this 2nd playthrough I went to the circle for help, sent jowan in and saved the day.
on my first go through i fucked the demon and said she could re-possess the boy at a later time, don't recall seeing any ramifications from that decision later on though.
