Yes, I did back before sports games had commentary I used to call my friends games too.

That's back when I wanted to be a broadcaster. I justified my nerdiness by saying I was practicing.

i do my own commentary all the time when playing with another friend. but since i haven't played madden in days its mostly for NHL. i will whip out a british accent or irish accent sometimes out of nowhere and i think its pretty funny.

everything is funnier with an accent.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Chris Collinsworth at all, so I mute him and sometimes do my own commentary.

Normally, it depends on how intoxicated I am. I'm more of a color commentator though, not much for play by play. Its all in good fun.

Back in the ps1-2 days, I'd just listen to Madden. He was pretty crazy on the late 90s versions, sometimes would go off on 6 minute rants about Steve Young's bus.

I try, but then I fail. I'll start adding swears and shit. When I get a penalty, fumble, am picked off, etc. "Oh that was a bullshit penalty against the Pats", "What a horrible fucking throw by Brady". Yea, you get the point. Its even worse with NHL. :hmm:
