Most of the time, the player that falls on it first starts out with a huge advantage. That is judging by how the meter starts out anyways, its almost always off to one side or the other. So in essence, when it starts the ball has already been recovered by someone, and the other has to try and pull it from them, which I have yet to be seen done in any online game.

I have done it a few times. Obviously the meter wasn't full on their side but it started off on their side. In the beginning I am usually able to close the gap considerably (or extend it my ways)
Well from what I heard Strength matters on how easy it is to win the fight.
So If a WR jumps on it, and then you jump on the WR with a Dlineman the Dlineman is going to have the advantage right away.
So basically if you're the team with the WR you have to hit the buttons twice as fast to make up for the lack of strength.

Obviously not true. I've seen it switch hands so many times that it does matter. It's not predetermined in the least.

I'm with you Dave. I ended up turning it off. It was cool when it was really close and there were guys from different teams who went for the ball at the same time. But yesterday I was playing and I caused a fumble, three of my guys dove for it and one of them obviously had it. Thanks to the stupid fight for the fumble I ended up losing it to a guy who jumped on about two seconds later.
