Game of Thrones

I find it interesting the last two episodes ended with the same storyline. Didn't see that coming, but was great. But what was with that music at the end. That was just terrible after such a major event.

The Hold Steady are a great band, but they don't really fit with Game of Thrones. They definitely didn't fit with that scene. I heard some of the downloads going around had the audio fucked up so the song started before

so i haven't read the books so having no idea what is coming each week is great, however i really wanna read the books, i'm just not sure if i wanna "ruin" the series by reading them

The minor changes that have happened early on in the shows are requiring more and more drastic changes as the shows continue. At this point they are getting to be different enough that they are both enjoyable on their own merits and it's no longer fair to compare the two.

The major events haven't changed and the story remains true, but there's so much subtlety in the books that you can't get from the show. Also the sheer amount of background on characters that you might only see briefly on the show. Like Thoros of Myr for example; on the show he's a slim guy and doesn't look too kooky. He's undergoes a transformation in the books that the show completely ignored (and they were right to do so).

I hate Jaime Lannister without his sword hand. He's so depressing. :( I wish they castrated him instead.

The only small thing I don't like about this right now is that there is so much shit going on, they can sometimes only give one scene in the show to a storyline and that is all. Like the Brann and Theon things had one thing, nothing on Snow or Rob or Stannis, and daenerys stuff seemed to just get added on at the end there.

That's just a small thing. Episode is great, and you just know it will be soon to see daenerys fucking shit up.
