Gamespeed to remain at slow

After running a test with the default game speed set to Slow and reviewing the thousands of messages we’ve received from our fans, we’ve decided to leave the default game speed online at Slow. This setting matches the default setting used in offline games and provides the ideal combination of fun gameplay and the most accurate simulation of NFL football.

EA forums had normal by 60%

OS had it near 50-50 maybe 1 or two votes in favor of slow

Wait, EA making a smart choice? Let's keep the trend going and patch the game so it's better.

If it was such a smart choice then why not just make the game set at slow from the start? Because clearly they had no intentions of listening to what anybody had to say once they tried it out .

I couldn't be more dissapointed in EA with this news .... but I guess thinking logically one side was bound to be mad

I think everyone agrees an option would be better. Unfortunately that's not something that is able to happen at the moment. The game was designed/tuned to the slow setting and that's ultimately where the team decided it will be online.

The change was made not only based on some feedback from the community during launch week, but also because that's where they intended it to be in the first place. It was set to normal for some online stability purposes during the launch, but it's something that was intended to be set to slow from the beginning.

We understand that there are fans who enjoyed the normal speed online after trying it, and obviously that's something we have to keep in mind moving forward.

stupid move by EA imo but lets look at it this way.

We have been playing on slow mode for few days now.

Yesterday and today nobody could tell me if the online speed was normal or slow so the difference, while there, isn't significant.

IMO the only reason this is a bad move is because they said the game was going to be in normal speed and now they change it without really taking the communities advice. Somehow it is possible to change the speed from normal to slow but it isn't possible to add in an option.

Thats fine , but don't pretend like you are listening to the community . Don't pretend that the game is going to be on normal all year when it's not and certainly don't pretend that this slow thing was just a test

The actions they took don't even annoy me that bad but the way they did it is sneaky and backhanded imo .

I don't like the change, but I'm used to slow now.
I suspect if guys don't quit, they'll eventually get used to it too.

I am not defending the decision. I think it's stupid, but there's no point whining about it ... and I'm not quitting playing Madden. While this game has a ton of faults, it's still the best next-gen Madden by a wide margin.
