Redskins
Passing Game:
D
Jason Campbell/Todd Collins..need I say more? Redskins need to look into drafting a QB instead of trying to bring in old talent.
Running Game:
B
It's not what is has been in the past, but it is still effective. If the oline had stayed healthy, could have been great. Portis/Betts are a great combo but are getting old and getting too banged up.
Receivers:
B-
A lot of young talent that is starting to shine. Could be great in the coming years with a good QB to throw them the ball.
O-line
D-
Hard to judge an o-line when you have different guys starting each week due to injury. When healthy they are atleast a B, but right now they are terrible. We even brought up a guy from practice squad to help out the line..
D-line:
B+
The one big bright spot for the Redskins is the D-Line. When you have Andre Carter, Albert Haynesworth, Cornelius Griffin, and Phillip Daniels lined up next to each other, the offensive line moves back. Could be better barring all the injuries, but that's to be expected with the Redskins.
Linebackers:
B-
We lost one of our hardest hitters on defense in Marcus Washington but we have picked up the slack. London Fletcher is still beast. Rocky McIntosh is good in spurts. Brian Orakpoe is turning into a stud at LB, making a lot of plays.
Defensive Backs:
D
The Redskins have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. I don't think I've seen such a terrible pass defense. They are routinely getting beat deep. Hell, we made Matt Stafford look like an all-pro QB out there. Something needs to be done in this department. LaRon Landry is nothing but a hard hitter, he needs to learn how to cover. Chris Horton/Reed Doughty are backups at best on most other teams. Our corners... Dante Hall/Carlos Rogers/Fred Smoot. I don't think I've ever seen such poor tackling from corners. Infact, I don't think I've seen one of our corners tackle someone in the open field. The most I've seen them do is just play 2 hand touch only to fail and give up a big play/touchdown.
Coaching:
D+
When you have your head coach sitting on the sideline just talking to players instead of being involved in the game, you have a problem. Nothing good has come from stripping Zorn of his playcalling abilities. Sure, he made some questionable calls, but stripping him of playcalling just divided the locker room in half. Many of the players love Zorn and have openly said so to the Media. Hell, they even defend him against what some fans are saying. The skins will never have a good coaching staff with Dan Snyder and Vinny Cerrato at the helm.
Overall
C-
There is a lot of talent on this team going to waste. Key injuries are not helping at all. Easily could have been a contender in the East. Get a decent QB who makes half the mistakes Campbell makes and this team will improve dramatically. Campbell is averaging over 2 turnovers a game. Add a few improvements in the secondary and this team could quite possibly be heading to the playoffs. A dissapointing season for the Redskins and Redskins fans. Here's to hoping for a high draft pick to get a good QB.
