Why is that? I was a huge Halo fan, at least through the first three games. I have a fucking MC helmet for chrissakes. This was one of my favorites gaming series of all time. I bought two fucking copies so the wife and I can both play. I would love for this game to be a 10/10.

You implied several times that the only reason I thought that MoH was good, in stark contrast to all the shitty reviews, was because I bought the game. I bought two copies of Halo and don't think it's that good. It's decent but not a 9 like so many outlets were saying it is.

The multiplayer seems really solid but I am just horrible at it. I'm not sure I'm going to have the patience to stick with it. I got so sick of shooting a guy in the head and chest four or five times and not die (probably because of some perk) and then he shoots me twice and I'm dead.

Don't go for the head until the shields pop.

And if you are struggling with the BR/DMR don't underestimated the AR. MFers piss me off with that thing it is tough to beat close range.

343 does not own the rights to Halo. They are owned by Microsoft and always have been. Bungie only had a minor part in the rights. I could have made this statement without even researching it because that is just how shit works especially with Microsoft.

They were convinced though that 343i owns Halo now.

Maybe they were just trolling me.

oh twigg, you clearly misread what i was saying. what i was implying had nothing to with you liking the game because you paid for it. I was implying that you were an idiot for saying you like it.

Bungie became their own entity again right after Halo 3 was released, with Microsoft continuing to support them, but Microsoft retained everything related to the Halo IP.

343i are a lot of former Bungie employees, but it is subsidiary Microsoft studio working with the Halo IP.

Me, Twigg and Swarley play about 10 games last night and had a good time. It's going to be a challenge for you guys because this game is incredibly tough to take someone down as opposed to the military shooters, and most of the people you are going against have been playing the halo series for a long ass time.

I've always been terrible at Halo, online, but damn lol. Next time I'm on I'm going to switch from the semi-auto weapons to the AR, see if that can help me at all.

Got this yesterday finally. 15-0 my first game lol. Word of advice Swarley, stick with the BR/DMR and stray away from close quarters battle as best you can. The AR isn't going to do much for you outside of make you reliant on a shitty weapon later.

Maybe I should go back to the posts then? You clearly said several times "You're just defending this game because you paid $60." Your words, not mine. So I made a point to say that I spent $120 on this game and don't think it's that great.

Yeah, I know it's tougher. I know how opponents are bullet sponges in the Halo games. But at least in the older games when I got killed it was almost always by a hair when I got into a gun fight. And it was almost always because the other guy got that split second drop on me or because they were obviously more skilled than me. With the small bit I've played of this game I had several occasions where the guys back was to me and I start peppering him with shots, only to have him turn around and shoot me once or twice for the kill. I'm guessing it's some of the new perks? That coupled with the fact that, like you said, most of these people have been playing Halo religiously for years, it seems I don't stand a chance.

As for that new base mode, I know you don't like it but that almost seems like the one mode that I could actually have some fun with just because it was so team oriented.

The one silver lining was that I wasn't as bad as Swarley. LOL.
