Following up on our interview on Connected Franchise with Josh Looman, VSN will be speaking with Madden Producer Mike Young this coming Friday (5/31) afternoon to get his thoughts on the upcoming release of Madden 25.

Will defensive assignments be in the game so players like Darrelle Revis be able to shadow a teams best receiver?

Will PS4/XBox One have the same amount of features overall (mostly connected franchise) as PS3/X360? - I wanna know if it will be as watered down as PS3 Madden 06 was to PS2 Madden 06.

Did they finally get rid of the bug that causes the screen to go blurry before the ball is snapped every play?

I'm pretty sure they have worked correctly for Madden '13. Haven't seen any issues thus far in 220.

Anything new with the presentation? More than anything I feel like that's what kills the replay value of the actual games themselves. I can't stand the same canned crowd noise and commentary after awhile.

Can they add a ticker like this for CFM in Madden 25, showing upcoming games, scores & stats, injury reports from our CFM and not just the ESPN news stuff?

When in the world will we have crowds that react realistically and announcers that react to the situation? When can I leave the announcers on and not shut them off after 1 game?

In the CFM deep dive blog, he mentioned that commentators will talk about season standings, stats, last week's game, etc... Can he elaborate on this? Is this Jim and Phil talking about it or the twitter feed?

Will there be any kind of pregame, halftime, post game, or weekly wrap up show in CFM? At least highlights of our games at halftime and not just a scripted montage?

What other improvements have been made in the commentary, is the play by play less generic and more player/team specific now, does Phil say team names now and not just "the other team" when you score a TD? During big plays like long pass TD's, kick and punt return Td's, pick 6's, does Jim get more excited like in real life or stay quiet most of the play like in Madden 13? Do Jim and Phil appear onscreen at any other times in the game besides the pregame?

Are the new Nike gloves that show team logos and are in NCAA 14, going to be in Madden 25?

Will the Bears wear navy pants for their default away uniforms? They wore orange pants in Madden 13 and never wore them in real life.

Have there been more qb cadences added? What about stadium songs and sounds? They never seemed to work in Madden 13. What about player chatter? In the audio webcast last year Matt Bialosuknia gave an example of some chatter in the huddle with Cam Newton but that was never in Madden 13.

How are the camera angles and replays this year? Last year they seemed to regress compared to Madden 12. Mainly because the replays were too slow and seemed unnatural.

For owner mode will the attendance in the game show that fans are unhappy? If the game shows the fans attendance is low but I go into a game and the stands are full, the attendance rating is pretty meaningless.

Will the weather still cause a place like Lambeau Field to be half empty when it snows or rains? That would never happen in real life. I played a game in Madden 13 last week where it was light rain and the stands were half empty, that would never happen.

Will we be able to place injured players on the PUP list? Can you guys make it to where we can move a player to another position due to a major injury? I.E. if my MLB goes on IR, can I move a OLB to MLB to make sure I have enough MLB's?

Also if you play as a coach or a player can you still respond to media questions like they've shown you do as an owner?

What player faces have been updated? Last year stars like Arian Foster and JJ Watt had generic faces. Have these and other star players(AJ Green, Julio Jones, Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson, Jermichael Finley,etc...) had their faces updated for Madden 25?

I have some uniform questions....

Will the Bears still have orange pants? Are Seahawks going to have the option for green shoes this year? When relocating your team to become the Houston Oilers what will your jerseys be like? Their classic ones? Eyeblack/mouthpieces in this year? New uniforms for the Dolphins?

In offline CFMs, will the computer properly use the XP they acquire to progress their players? As it stands the computer progression in M13 is bad, they do a very poor job of handling and distributing their players XP.

Will we have a functional IR? IE: I lose a guy to a significant amount of time, will a roster spot be freed up so I can sign someone?

Can we use the legends on the regular rosters or are they only available thru MUT play?

Have there been tests to assure that the NCAA rosters translate properly when you import them?

They didn't work once for us.

Last year we had a 3 way tie for the 6th seed.

Browns/Broncos/Raiders

Now according to NFL rules and how I understand them, you use the Divisional TB rules to deal with Broncos/Raiders, then match them up vs Browns.

-Raiders swept the Broncos during the season.
-Browns beat the Raiders during the season.
-Broncos had the best AFC record.

Broncos qualified.

My belief is that it should have been the Browns.


Question, have penalties been adjusted at all? While I don't expect any changes to what's called and how they are called, I have a big issue when you gain a 1st down...THEN a penalty flag is thrown for like holding, and you lose the 1st down. By NFL rules, if the penalty is called after you gain the 1st down, you still get the 1st down, just lose the yardage. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is how it works.



Has weather been tuned at all for online CFM? We're in our 6th season and I'm KC. Not a warm place. I tend to make the playoffs and play late in the year alot....yet not once I've seen rain or snow at home. 6 seasons, not once.

Can owners bid for super bowl hosting, then collect on revenue to help build their team? Can't imagine they have it, but push this idea on him

Madden 12 had a working IR system in the franchise......I'm hoping this is one of the franchise features we'll get back for Madden 25
