Should HB Direct Snap be allowed?

Note that this means used sparingly and not abused. For instance, I use this play on occasion, not every game and usually only once in a game when I do.

I'm not gonna set rules on how many times/when to use the play. Just don't abuse the play, use common sense.

The way you say it seems fucked to me.


When someone says they could use this play 1-2 times in a game....ok.

When someone says I want to use it once per half insinuates to me that you have a set list of plays that you run every game.


Like, if I had a situation where this play would make sense to run.....I would considering using it along with other plays that fit the situation. I wouldn't use it simply because I "know it's effective against the AI" and can use it "once per half"

That's not sim style to me.

The point of limiting calling this play shouldn't be to put a cap on abuse of the AI via this play, but rather guidelines of how often this play is legitmately called in football game. Cause really.....do you see this play called more than once or twice in a game? If that?

if Its 3rd and 2 and offense comes out in it is it a automatic first down 9 of 10 times if I dont blitz my LBs and shift my dline to it? Similar to FB dive in past?

Will the question come up again if someone uses it on 4th and goal on the 1 and they score the winning TD off it?

I'm pretty sure it may be able to be contained IF the defense knows it's coming (IE. Wildcat formation) but if you see Gun 4WR 1RB...you initial thought would be to stop the pass.

I've only seen the play once and that was a few weeks ago and it worked to profection. Dude scored a TD off it from inside my 10. With the right team, it can be money...especially if you have a good RB.

Gotcha...I think it may be fine until someone runs it and changes the game some how and then everyone will hear about it in the bad game thread. This is going to be a hard one to decide.
