Hell Games

Describe some of your "Hell games" in here.

If you don't know what a Hell Game is, it's a game where everything that can possibly go wrong, goes wrong. Where every throw is tipped up like a volleyball and picked off. Long drives result in fumbles in the red zone, muffed punts, awful blocking, etc.

Played one yesterday afternoon on gamersaloon.

Was up 14-0, went for a FG at half from 55 yards, and the wind made it hit the upright, so instead of being up 17-0 and having the 3 possession lead, I only had a 2 possession lead.

He gets the ball coming out, and gets me with a deep post while I'm playmakering my defense (so I ran commit). 14-7.

Felix Jones fumbles the ensuing kickoff return. TD 14-14. There goes my lead.

I get a nice YAC TD on singleback slot "levels". 21-14 me.

Hester (him) takes it to the house 21 up.

Romo connects with Witten in front of the goaline, but Mikey Brown strips it. He recovers at his 1. Still 21-21.

He and I trade 3 and outs twice in a row. 4th quarter begins.

I have ball and settle for FG after Roy Williams catches the ball WIDE OPEN but the spinning animation doesn't let him get two feet it. 24-21 me. 3 minutes.

I force a 3 and out. Then clock all his timeouts. But I punt instead of going for a FB dive on 4th and 2. He didn't have timeouts anyways.

Hester makes a decent return with 26 ticks left. He drives a little, and sets up a Robbie Gould FG to tie at the end of regulation. The wind mixed with his kick makes the ball slice THEN draw and clang off the inside of the right upright and go it. Overtime 24-24.

I get the ball to start OT. Drive into FG range, set up a FB dive to Barber to center my kick, Barber fumbles, and Urlacher recovers and returns it 20 yards.

Orton connects to hester on a drag and gets into FG range. He drills it. I lose the $$$ game 27-24.

I played a GGML Hell game.

The guy didn't know what sim was, and I wish he'd go to hell.

When I had the Dolphins in GGML I had a few of these. I remember one was vs. DNEUM, and another guy who had the Pats. I fumbled 7 times in the Pats game and lost every one of them.

Just had one. Playing random online and up 20-0 in the 4th. Throw 3 picks and they all result is scoring drives, i lose 20-21. Man I am pissed.

 

[Wildcard]

I played a Hell game last night.

The guy was 42-32. I played him he was the Saints so I took Oakland.

I picked him off 7 times. Won 39-7.

Then he asked me for a rematch. He said that was the worst game he has ever played. He wants me to play his "brother".

Well... I wait 5 minutes, and I play his "brother".

He picked Green Bay, so I went with Chicago.

close game all game. He would naked rush the outside of the LOS with AJ Hawk every play, and he ran a 3-4. Well anyways... Forte owned him. 17rushes 131 yards 1TD. I picked him off 4 times, but he picked me off 3 times.

It was 10-10 with 1:30 left in the game. I hit Hester on a WR screen for a 60 yard Touchdown. I went for 2... yeah I had confidence in my D. Whenever someone HAS to pass on me I usually get the INT. Anyways... he drove down the field with ease after only getting past my 50 2 times all game. 13 Seconds left on the clock he is on the 11 yard line No timeouts. I notice he loved throwing a quick Dig route to Greg Jennings. I waited for it, and INT CRAIG STELTZ in the Endzone!!!(Thanks Saluki) Game over. Hell Game. I win 16-10.
