Howard was an explosive returned that played in Green Bay for more than one year and he also won a Super Bowl ring and MVP award as a returner during that time. If that doesn't qualify as explosive in your book, then that is your issue.
Get this through your fucking skull.
I never said Howard wasn't explosive in general.
I took issue and disagreed with your assesment that Howard was
as explosive as Hester for
years.
LOL at you using a Super Bowl MVP and Super Bowl ring as a showing of "explosiveness".
You said that Hester had been tearing up the league since the Super Bowl based on one year of production
No.
No I did not.
You said:
"It's not like he has been tearing it up since they lost the Super Bowl."
Ignoring the fact that he tore up the league the season immedietly following the Super Bowl.
He hasn't been tearing up the league since the end of 2007 would have been the correct statement.
I've already covered this with you.
He played for more than one season in Green Bay and during that time was regarded as the best returner in the league who won a Super Bowl and a Super Bowl MVP award. Semantics.
He was not
as explosive as Hester for one season in Green Bay. Let alone "years".
So Hester didn't want to be a returner and the front office made him play another position?
Are you fucking mental?
I'm convinced you are retarded if you can even somehow take the article that way.
Where the fuck do I even start with this.
It says that Hester didn't want to play
WR, he wanted to play CB as his main position like Deion Sanders. The Bears actually capitulated to the CB request during his rookie season and he saw action as a D briefly in 2006 notably against the Rams. He was promptly burnt by Holt for a TD and then returned the ensuing kickoff for a score to give the Bears the lead. Prior to the 2007 season, against want Hester wanted to really do, the Bears decided to move him to WR.
Hester
never said he didn't want to be a kick returner. In fact from day 1 he was told that was going to be his primary function on the team. He mentioned that
days ago. The entire context of this article from early 2007, if you had actually read it, revolved around the change of his secondary position from WR to CB. There was never any contention between the Bears and Hester as to if Hester would return kicks or not. It was always about Hester wanting to play CB instead of WR as his other position.
Your entire premise and understanding of the situation is completely and utterly incorrect.
Nobody outside of Chicago gives a shit enough about the Bears to know their inner-office drama.
I find it hilarious you say this...Seeing as part of the main crux of your original point hinged on you supposedly knowing anything about it and thus making the claim(s) that Hester ruined his career the same as Howard by making the demand.
So no one gives enough of a shit to about the Bears to know their inner office drama..except for you..on this subject...even though your original statement of fact was wrong.
Nice fail on your part.
1. He played for more than one year in Green Bay and won a Super Bowl and a Super Bowl MVP award as a returner. Bears fans drinking hate-r-ade doesn't change that.
I never denied this.
2. For his time in Green Bay, he was the most dangerous returner in the league.
I never denied this.
3. Hester didn't want to be a returner. Thanks for proving my point.
I never even said that....or posted that.
You're fucking insane.
