I want to bury the Steelers in this, I really do. You can't look past the fact that they won TWO Superbowls in the time that the Cowboys have struggled, this past decade. Not only did they tie the Cowboys, they surpassed them in the same amount of time it's taken Dallas to lose one playoff game, and not make the playoffs, period.

A Post-Super Bowl Champion such as your lovely Steelers that have managed to lose the games they were SUPPOSED to win, especially when you consider that this year's team and coaching staff is nearly identical to last year's SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP roster/staff ... I'm sorry but your homeristic bullshit calling what the Cowboys have been known to do during the last decade as the greatest underachievement only makes your homerism even more glaring when you cannot even admit that your Steelers meltdown during those games that a team one-year removed from WINNING the SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONSHIP without very little changes to the roster/staff/scheme is an even greater UNDERACHIEVEMENT.

The Dallas Cowboys are doing what we thought they'd do. I never pegged them as being a Super Bowl champ and I don't know anybody that did peg them as a Super Bowl invite this season, not especially after getting rid of Terrell Owens. Your definition of "underachievement" needs a rewrite.

Good post. I would classify this years Steelers as a greater underachiever. For the decade though, the Cowboys have to be the most underachieving team, right? Not trying to bash them, but has any other team had as much talent as they do and not a single playoff win to show for it in such a long period of time?
