If you have something else in mind that you'd love to have right away, I'd say go for it. Otherwise, I don't think it's worth $60 bucks. I used a RedBox promo and got it, and did pretty much everything I wanted to do with it in 2 days (admittedly, the Contracts stuff seems really cool if you're really into Hitman, and it is SUPER clever in its setup -- but by the time I was done with the story I was kind of burnt out on it).
Just another thing to warn you about: there are no game saves in this. It is all check point based. And the check points are actually hidden on the map (they light up) and even on Normal they are hardly sprinkled all over (depending on your path, you will complete missions without seeing one). If you're like me with Hitman games and feel like you're failing when you fuck up once, starting at last checkpoint can mean doing a LOT of stuff over). Oh, and another weird thing, when you DO activate an in mission checkpoint, if you restart to it, the only dudes you killed/subdued that DON'T come back are the main targets. That means if you knocked out and hid a bunch of dudes super stealthy like, hit a checkpoint, then went for the final kill and fucked it up, if you restart, those dudes are ALL back. It can sometimes make the checkpoints work against you.
This post was longer than I had planned it to be, just the checkpoint thing came to mind for me because I remember you not liking Mark of the Ninja's system and that one is 1000% more forgiving than this one. TL;DR: if you really enjoy Hitman games, you will like this one. It is more accessible in a lot of ways, albeit often at the expense of its cleverness.
