How do you feel about your team this season?

3/4 of the season is already over and its been a long one and one to forget. The defense had played great up until last night and the offense has been the worst i've ever seen.

The only good thing to come from this season is Jack Del Rio getting shit canned.

Considering they are in first, its hard to complain. I think they have played pretty good, but they still have two games against the Gmen that have me worried. Garrett joined the boner of the month club Sunday, but with any luck it won't matter, gotta get that December/January monkey of their backs

I'm happy Del Rio's gone but I don't know who would actually want to come save the reclamation that is Jacksonville.

Also, Florida/Ohio State II isn't quite the rematch everyone's hoping for.

Even if we don't make the playoffs, this season can be looked upon as a success.

We were picked to finish dead last in the AFC South by many publications and although the whole Peyton situation helped, we're right there in the Wildcard hunt with four games to go.

Matt Hasselbeck has been a solid starter and a great veteran presence not only for :locker: but for these young receivers. CJ has obviously been disappointing but I'm glad he's starting to peak near the end of the year when we need him most. Hopefully his effort will carry into next season. Kenny Britt getting hurt was the big blow, as he was on his way to becoming maybe the best young receiver in the NFL. Damian Williams and Nate Washington have stepped up decently in his place, but a healthy Britt is needed for 2012.

On defense, Colin McCarthy has emerged as the best middle linebacker Tennessee has saw in a while. I haven't been as excited about a LB since Bulluck. Akeem Ayers has been a consistent performer on one side of him and it says a lot when your two rookie linebackers are the ones in your Nickel package. Derrick Morgan has been disappointing however, but he's struggled with injuries this season as well. The defense as a whole is very young and will be a force in the next few years.

7-5 at this point is more than I expected, although I didn't peg us to be as bad as others thought we'd be. An ugly performance in the Jacksonville opener where the team was completely out of sync in part to the lockout hurts, as well as the :turrible: second-half performance against Cincinnati at home because we could easily be staring at 9-3 right now, but that's the NFL for you.

(Lions) I guess one word I would use is skeptical.

Even when we were winning, it didn't feel right most of the time. Those late comebacks got us wins in the stat book, but for long-term success, I had a feeling it would catch up to us.

Now, we seem to be one of the most immature teams in the league. At the same time, our five losses were to really good teams, so we're not SO immature that we let games slide.

I still think we can hit 10 wins. For all our problems, we do a lot of really good things at times. What might hurt us is the distractions about our coaches not doing a good job. The extra stuff needs to go, but we're building our name on being a tough football team. I get it. Image and psychology have a lot to do with sports. We can't go so far as to hurt ourselves, though.

Well the 49ers have clinched the division for the first time in 9 years with pretty much the same team as last year. Solid candidates for DMVP (Willis), DROY (Aldon Smith), Comeback POY (Alex Smith), and the obvious lock at Coach of the year...

I can't argue with 12-0 but I'm a little concerned about the strength of the Packers defense. They are leading the league in interceptions but I don't feel like they can shut down some of the more prolific offenses the team will start to see in the playoffs. Of course, the offense can hang 35 on just about anybody so my worry might be for naught.

Looking at the season as a whole, I feel good. The team has shown improvement and more important, resiliency. We are never out of a game as far as I'm concerned. However we are still immature and clearly aren't ready to handle success. I still believe we can finish with 10 wins and get the wild card but as far as learning experiences go, finishing 8-8 or 9-7 wouldn't be the worst thing.

Worst in the league. New OC is in order as well as another bonafide CB with Aqib's and Ronde's future in order. An every down back would help immensely. We underestimated the importance of Cadillac who was one of the leagues best pass blockers.

The good for the Redskins:

1.) The defense all around. Cofield is excellent as a nose tackle, Stephen Bowen proved he can be a starter at defensive end, and Adam Carriker continued his improvement last season. Ryan Kerrigan is an excellent pass-rusher with a never-ending motor and it is hard to believe he is just a rookie. Secondary performing very well, despite both safeties struggling with injuries at times.

2.) The starting offensive line unit. When Lichensteiger went down for the year, and Trent Williams was out for a few weeks, this team was doing great. The line was working well with the zone blocking scheme and protecting Grossman. The losses have piled up since then, but at the very least, it shows we have promising starting linemen and we just need to address the depth in the draft.

3.) Roy Helu. The fourth rounder is just tearing things up right now and is about the only bright spot on offense at this point. Fred Davis was one, but his three failed drug tests (mentioned below) dropped him.

The bad for the Redskins:

1.) Kyle Shanhan is not a great offensive coordinator. He just isn't, and I wouldn't be surprised for there to be pressure on his father to reassign him to a new position and hire a new offensive coordinator.

2.) Trent Williams and Fred Davis are facing suspensions for recreational drug abuse. Rumor is that they were caught and notified of failed drug tests three times for marijuana. Your personal belief about the legality of it aside, the fact is it is illegal right now and against the rules of the league. How do you keep doing it despite getting caught? Just dumb, and they may have hurt their futures with the Redskins, especially Davis.

3.) Quarterback. Well, this should be #1, but Grossman is proving he is nothing more than a one or two game backup quarterback at this point, and Beck shouldn't even be in the league anymore. Why we didn't make a play on Kyle Orton I don't know, but I don't expect Beck back next year, and Grossman's future is up in the air.

4.) Special teams kick protection. For once, our kicker isn't doing too bad. Gano has been solid this season, and done well on kickoffs (even nailed a 59 harder this season) but the protections teams have been bad- at least three kicks have been blocked this season. Danny Smith may get fired for this one at seasons end- I have never seen specials teams this bad on our team.

The Saints are clicking too.....a playoff game between them and GB would probably be something similar to last years GB/Atlanta game.

Davis is in his contract year too.....how dumb can you be? He was at a local bar by my house a few weeks ago.....if he wasn't 6'4 260 I'd punch him in the face the next time I see him there.
