"if you want to get your ass whooped by elite players post in this thread" should be the name of this... give any good player all pro and they will EMBARRASS an average player, then you'll be crying for the all madden cheese help on defense. Guys who will lose games for the most part are all for this, I was for this at first, and I agree all madden gives extra help on defense...

but what do the "bad" or "average" players think is going to happen to them on all pro? do you think you'll fare better? do you think you have a better chance at winning? all-pro caters to the SKILLED players, user catch, user controlled safety that can actually do some damage...for those looking to level the competition your going in the wrong direction by switching to all pro

You are so far from getting the point of wanting to play on All-Pro...It's only because you think everyones motives for anything are wins and losses and that is simply because that's obviously what you care about.

This is simple, it's about trying to achieve the most "Realistic" game play. Not "I suck on All Madden, let me move down to All-pro"

I just know a select few guys here who will remain un named would not be able to handle an elite baller on all pro, because its more stick, all pro gives you a lot less help...i didnt even say i was one of those elite ballers so wtf is your problem.

How am I taking it personal? i just find it funny that out of all the posts in this thread, you of all people come in here talking about people will struggle against 'elite' players on AP and that it should be renamed. You ever think that no one cares? This thread isnt an AP vs AM, which is what dave clearly stated in the first post. If people cared that much about getting beat by 'elite' ballers there wouldnt be a point to make this thread in the first place, but looking at all the replies, no one gives a damn lol

Can't add much to what Ike (aka mmlucky) had to say. I doubt he cheesed DSA out of the 2-2-0 championship, that was the year Vick was rated 10 notches higher than anybody in the league :laugh:

Good players win regardless of the difficulty. Tim beat me 23-10 on Pro or All-Pro and it was because he caught me in a blitz or bad matchup defensively and took advantage along with playing solid defense on his side. It's nice to complete a mid-range pass over the middle without the LB jumping like Michael Jordan and tipping it or picking it off with one hand. That's just not realistic to me but it is a safety net for when I screw up on the play calling.

He should really go to a different forum for the games he wants and the status he wants. Only problem is he probably can't hang with those guys, so he sticks around here giving us shit hoping we'll tell him he's the greatest baller eva!!!

Many guys are willing to play any level - I'm one of them.
If a guy insists on All-Madden, All-Madden it is.
I'm just trying to see who wants to play All-Pro, nothing more.
This was not to start a debate. I just personally want to see who wants to get all-pro (and even pro) games in with me.

I could care either way I guess. But what does this do for tourneys and end of year championships? Do we have to vote everytime to see which way level we play?
People are going to get used to playing at a certain level and get in a comfort zone. If that gets taken away then there is problems? Just a few things to put out there.

If you can get 90% of people to do this I think it would be okay. There is a shortage of players now and it is tough to get games. PS3 is the smaller madden group and we don't need to lose anymore players thats for sure.

I wouldn't call it that. I, personally, plan on still playing all my games on All Madden. I'm just saying I dont have a problem if my opponent wants to play on AP

For as little as I play these days, I'm horrible at this game, but in all honesty I used to be a pretty good Madden player. I even cheesed DSA out of a 220 championship lol. Anyway, that being said I truly believe it's the better player, the manual player, that relies more heavily on All Madden as a crutch.

Most guys that are very good at this game have good to great manual skills that translate to whatever level they play on. I'll give them that. However, most of them rely on those skills to a degree that their playcalling sucks (leaving LBs on slot WRs. DE's playing deep zone, etc etc). These are mistakes that won't get your burned in AM, but in AP it's possible to take advantage of these errors.

Now, I'm not saying these guys will lose on AP, like I said, their manual skills will definitely carry over. That's not the point. The point is AP is much more sim and enjoyable for those guys that actually want to play a game of "football." Good players will win no matter what the level. So we can leave that discussion at the door.

As much as I give him shit, DSA probably has the best combo of football playcalling and manual skills at this site. Most guys aren't like that but are damn good at "the sticks." That's good too, they're looking for a video game challenge whereas most of the guys in this thread are looking for a sim game of football.

not even close man, Quietstorm got what I said exactly, and if an "elite" or really good player is truly good they do make good playcalling also, none of the great players here lean too heavily on stick skills, they are all good play callers too

For you guys in the 2-2-0 or on the wait list, we have a poll up about the possibility of changing from All-Madden to All-Pro on a game by game basis based on what the owners in that game would like to roll with. We have more flexibility than online franchise because some owners can play All-Madden if they like or others can play All-Pro. I also made an option that if the two owners couldn't agree on All-Madden or All-Pro, the home owner got the call.

Trying to be as flexible as possible to take care of our owners.

I am 100% against entering stats for a game. There is online dynasty which tracks everything for us now. I usually have limited time to play games in between my son's feedings, him crying, school, etc i dont really have much time to be entering stats.

Ranked games online fly by and i dont mind playing them at all. I stepped down from 220 in with only one game played so it wouldnt affect someone else's season too much if they took over. If 220 were a franchise, which i thought it was when we all signed up this summer, i likely wouldve stayed. My gaming time is limited lately and i want a gaming experience that i can complete in the shortest duration possible.


People used to trip out when they'd message me to play COD and i'd play two ten minute matches with them, i just dont have the time for the lengthy gaming sessions i was used to over the past 5 years.
