I'm actually starting to really hate Madden.......

this game is ridiculously broke.......

i play game with Realist, my boy for years....str8 up playa if ya"ll dont know. been playing him for years.......
so - this aint about him.

the game is WHACK....
90% of games i play - there's a TD on a KO or Punt....without question.
i dont mind a busted tackle or 2 but totally untouched for 100 yards outta the endzone is just whiggidy whack......and the hole(s) are big enough for the slow OL-men to run through...
and i dont consider just pushing up and then left or right and back up a "good return".......

having more than 1 KoR/Punt for TD is even more stupid, yet i hear and see games with 3,4 sometimes.....

so - whats next...Squib Quick every KO or kick outta bounds on every Punt?? c"mon now......whiggidy whack.
i dont call that adjusting to gameplay - its just simply broken.

thank goodness CoD Bops and NBA2k11 is around the way........there is some promising games ahead at least........

I know you aren't bashing me but i do want to make a few comments

1) I'm sure you recorded the game, the KO's weren't that deep. If I'm not mistaken both were at or around the goalline. It's not like I was taking them out from deep in the endzone.

2) While I do think KR/PR are a little too easy, I dont think they are unstoppable. I stopped Moss and Hall pretty easily on KR/PR and when I played Zeus yesterday I contained Jacoby Ford.

3) With that said, can I get SOME credit, I mean I read the holes pretty well and just hit them.

4) The returns didn't determine the outcome of the game

I haven't had any problem with KR/PR. I play with Oakland in 99% of my games with Higgins or Ford returning kicks/punts and I think I've returned maybe 1 or 2 all year.

I've had a couple returned on me but nothing out of the ordinary.

Honestly, least of my concerns. I really don't have all that much to complain about when it comes to the game. I like it but there's nothing amazing about it.

But yes, I can't wait for COD.

this is overall with any games played on this year's Madden....

1) ok - so they were at the 1 yard line - 99 yard return..not much of a difference. not only that - even if it were in the back of the endzone, it only gets shown as a 99 yard return for some reason...perhaps another bug in the game?? :doh:

2) not saying they are not stoppable but it is pretty much a certainty that one team will get a TD on a KoR or Punt......

3) like i said - i dont consider pushing up, making a quick left or right and back up the sideline a "good return". the holes are HUGE, they open up before you get to the hole....its not hard to read that.. lol; my 10 year old can see and do it.......

4) but it does make a difference, in any game played. its changes the flow of the game, chance of comebacks, gameplan/strategy, etc....
in our game, i kick a FG, 17-3. if you recall, i squib kicked it in the beginning to Ginn.....after the FG, i said to myself, "let me see how often the BS is...." i kicked to Ginn intentionally (both times after) and it happened.....TD!!!!.......Untouched!!!
i gave up.....
i even MSGd you after the 2nd BS TD on the KoR about it........"Total BS"....

in other words, when i start seeing dumb AI and stupid flaws in this game, i lose interest PDQ........

in almost every Video i made, there was a TD on KoR or Punt.......they all had the same HUGE hole that anybody could see........go to the "Video Reels" and check them out.......its stupid.

also; i have had my share TDs on KoRs and Punts as well.....so; trust me all but 1, maybe 2, were deserved.
its so ridiculously obvious, i almost want to run outta bounds out of commen courtesy......

really....its one part of the game that is broke and everyone knows it.....
EA wants to get there patch out to fix this BS but most will be playing NBA or CoD by the time they fix this shit......

but oh well ...........

The problem with Madden is the Madden community. Of course they have a lot of casual gamers, that's fine and to be expected. But, if you go to some of the "sim" forums a lot of those guys ask for cheese. Like more frequent KR's, or easier offense. That or they're more concerned about socks and hand towels than actual gameplay. EA is just catering to their audience.

they didnt specifically ask for cheese, they wanted 8-12 years olds to be able to play with more hardcore gamers.....ones that have been playing since 93.....

It might help your punt coverage if you put the arrow all the way up. This way you don't out kick your coverage. With Andy Lee, my guys usually end up within 5 yards of the returner when he catches the punt.

I guess Im one of the few who thinks kick covg is perfect. If someone takes one back on you its your own fault. Bad angles and dumb kicks. Mfers rarely make it past the 20 vs me.

Yep Annother bug in the game. I noticed that too when I played the CPU one day.

Not really. I dont really agree with that. Maybe a big return but not every game for a TD, but maybe thats just my games.

Well you were darting back and forth across the field with Hall and Moss and it didn't work And the second return for ginn, i dont think i made any sudden moves, you kicked it to the right side of the field and i returned on that side for a TD

But you only score 3 points the entire game. Thats why I was messing with you and said it didn't change the outcome. Even if I had returned 1 and not 2.

Yea I know it wasn't about me specifically I know we are cool.. I know we are cool.

Like I said, i do know that it is easier to return kicks, but it's not impossible to stop. OOBL ran a punt on me in our 220 game. The only thing BS about it to me was that Jackson broke a tackle lol. Other than that it was a clean run. Played Zeus and he didn't get anywhere. 2 guys who are consider pretty damn good at this game and I was able to slow them down for the most part

I dont go in a game knowing someone is going to return a KR/PR against me. Like BB said, kick it in the middle, and protect the sidelines. I use the strategy that NFL coaches told their players when defending Barry Sanders: Stay where you are because if he runs away from you, more than likely he'll be coming back. I used that again you last night lol.

BTW, did I have a return in our first game?

But yes, I agree with the COD comment as well. Kind of pissed that they wont have co-op though.

I agree somewhat with Dave.

I pin the blame on the locomotion. They need to tweak the ratings of the players, especially the linemen. The linemen are still not responding as well as they should to the movements of the opposing players.

Hope the next patch, whenever that might be, will address that.



As for CoD................................just pre-ordered the Prestige Edition.

How can you consider making sure that the guy has to fair catch, cheese? It's a punt. It's not like it gives me any extra advantage by making you fair catch it.

Put your fastest available players as backups at FS, SS, OLB. These are guys that are on the kickoff team. It helps alot.
