BUFFALO, NY (AP)- Arizona press quoted Adrian Wilson before the game saying that "his Cardinals have the best secondary in the league." No one could really argue against that statement; look at the quarterbacks that they've faced: Tom Brady (5 INT), Aaron Brooks (10-29, 2 INT), Tim Rattay (10-35, 94 yards), and Matt Hasselbeck (4 INT) all had games below their standards when facing Arizona. Now add Drew Bledsoe to that list. Bledsoe threw four interceptions to the stud secondary of the Cardinals, and Arizona got a good performance on the ground from Erik Bickerstaff in their 33-20 win on Halloween. Duane Starks led the pick parade with two of them, including one for a touchdown, while Dexter Jackson and Raynoch Thompson both added one. Bickerstaff came off the bench to replace an ineffective Emmitt Smith and ran for 81 yards and a score on 14 carries.
After a three and out to open the game by Buffalo, Henson went to the air, finding Larry Fitzgerald for 11 yards followed by two throws to Anquan Boldin, including the opening 46 yard touchdown. An unexciting finish to the first quarter led to Arizona driving in the second. Neil Rackers hit a 31 yard field goal to put the Cardinals up 10-0. Bledsoe struck back with a 54 yard touchdown pass to Eric Moulds to bring the Bills closer but on Buffalo's next drive, Rian Lindell missed a 49 yard field goal and Arizona went into the lockerroom winning 10-7.
Arizona got the ball to start the second half and after two short plays, Henson threw a pass to the right side where Troy Vincent was waiting. Vincent picked it off and ran it back 32 yards for six. The Cardinals struck back with a five play touchdown drive that ended in a Bickerstaff 47 yard touchdown run. Travis Henry carried the ball three straight times on Buffalo's next drive before Bledsoe found a wide open Duane Starks. Starks ran back the interception for 42 yards and a touchdown, giving Arizona the lead for good. Arizona improves to 6-1 and will head to Miami to face the Dolphins next week.
