-based on what he heard from Fins players and people in the organization was that nobody really thought what was happening was a big deal. Said that Martin never brought it up. Said that it doesn't make it ok that it was happening and that if Martin felt bullied that is all that matters.
-the prank pulled on Martin was the exact same prank pulled on Nate Garner last week. Said that Martin was in the group of linemen that got up and walked away when Gardner sat down. Said this has been an ongoing prank all season.
-entire Dolphins organization was blind sided by Martin walking out. Players in the locker room had no idea Martin was dealing with a bullying issue. Said coaches had no idea he felt this way as he never told them.
-said the Incognito and Martin hung out together in season and during the offseson. Said they would go to the same bars/night clubs together and that they live in the same area

I don't think anyone thought this prank alone was a big deal. It's the other shit (Racial slurs, extortion, death threats, family threats, etc.) that is a big deal.

This doesn't really mean anything at all. I know a lot of bullies that hung out with weaker minded people to take advantage of them. The weaker person thinks the bully likes them, the bully manipulates the victim into thinking that they are actually friends, bully continues to take advantage of weakling until said weakling finally has enough.

Is Martin weak/soft? Yes, clearly. Does that make it ok? No. I think it's important to understand that people aren't like you or me. They aren't going to be able to respond like you would in this type of situation in order to put a stop to it.

The NFL, apprised of the evidence, began upper-level meetings on the case this morning as it launches its investigation. People with access to some of the exchanges believe in time this situation could become a springboard for further policies and practices at the league-wide level in regards to hazing, verbal harassment and perhaps also stricter codes in terms of financial harassment and actions whereby rookies are required by veterans to pick up excessive tabs and bills as a rite of passage.

What's there to say? He doesn't want to fight a guy to make something end that shouldn't even be occurring in the first place. So he went and reported it. How is that wrong? Why is fighting the only acceptable way to handle this situation in your eyes?

Not to mention if Martin tried to fight, got his ass beat, there's no saying the threats and shit are going to stop. He already threatened to kill Martin.

Since he didn't fight you see him as less of a man. Makes a lot of sense.

And, it only takes one punch to kill someone. Even if it's unlikely, why take that chance on a life sentence in prison. Nobody should have to take a chance like this, just to stand up to a bully. Build evidence and report it to the right authorities. Safest thing to do.

EDIT: I played on a community baseball team when I was young, like many do. When I was 14ish, a kid died when a pitch hit him just right/or wrong in the temple.
