Is pass and run commit still in the game?

SAME shit I first thought when I first played. I dont think so. I haven't tried as a LB/DB. Mainly because I wasn't willing to see it not work and give up my position on a hit stick attempt.

Yea, I did the hit stick animation several times while trying this.

I don't think its in the game and if it isn't I will be glad. The run commit down in Madden 09 was a ridiculous mess where all players shoot the same gap and is something only the Detriot Lions would do. Run commit left and right were alright and so was pass commit. Just not a feature i cared about too much. Another thing i noticed wasn't in the game though was the feature where you can move your receivers with the left stick. That was replaced by the QB avoidance.

Didn't Keith Brooking bite on play action on like 3rd and 12 vs the cards or something. In my opinion if players bite on things like that should be determined by the situation (down and distance), the awareness rating and the play recognition rating. A pass commit is not necessary even for things like that.

the commit feature was brilliant for just this type if thing. you know on 3rd and a mile the pass is all anyone is worried about. the assholes, and maybe you are one them, that use a play action play on 3rd and forever arent doing it cuz it is sim or a smart play, they do it cuz it beats the AI. the only draw back there ever was to the commit stick was in 06 when we had the gay ass icon glitch.

Yeah the companies are known to leave out quite a bit in these demos. The past 2 NBA2k demos you havent been able to call plays at all. Playcalling was obviously in the actual game though. I really hope R/P Commit is in the game or its back to guys running playaction every other play.

I know there is adaptive AI. I don't if that is in games when you play an actual person vs person but if it is (and hopefully it is) then that i think should do something for you. The pass commit was good for the reasons stated above but the pass commit is the only thing i ever used. The run commit all out sucked ass.

The AI was supposed to be smarter in 09 from 08 and it really wasnt

i loved the commit button always used it the only bad thing about it was the occasional hiccups where instead of a commit you got a hitstick but they could of fixed that not take it out completely
